I have heard that many mylotters use their cell phone for mylotting. I have accessed mylot only through my laptop and desktop, Want to know others experiences who access mylot through their mobiles. How user friendly is this site while accessing through mobile.

I am pretty fast in typing so it should not be a problem for me. But have not been able to access it from my present handset. Am trying to get a new one and was trying to figure out if I should get one through which I can access mylot too.

Hi yes it quiet difficult to access through mobile. I find it difficult too. But sometimes i do use mobile when i am travelling to do mylot. I am not at all satisfied as we can't give lengthy responses and also we cannot see the page and cannot open other pages too.

I access mylot from my handset, but frankly i enjoy more on desktop then om mobile. Earlier with my nokia handset, i had replied many discussions as having key pad option, but now i have is touch screen, i never tried on touch screen, but sometime i do check responses and discussions.

Which handset were you using before. I agree that there is nothing better than a desktop for mylotting. But sometimes when travelling if we are able to take part in discussions that would be nice too.

I have tried using my mobile phone, purely for curiosity. This is not a practical way for me to access Mylot because the screen is far too small and typing is also an issue with a mobile phone keyboard. Nevertheless, I do know that a lot of members use Mylot this way so they must have simply become accustomed to dealing with such issues.

I had once tried logging in through a cell phone on mylot but was not able to sign in at all. Was not able to figure out what the issue was. Gave up after that.

I have tried using Mylot via my mobile phone, purely from the point of curiosity. I found it to be very impractical due to the size of the screen and needed to scroll quite a lot to actually read anything. I also find typing on a mobile phone to be far more difficult than using a keyboard, so it is not a viable option for me. I do know that many members here use their mobile as a means of accessing Mylot, so it is obviously far less of a problem to others than it is to me.

I too experimented with the mobile but found it a bit too slow. Am used to typing fast on the laptop so find the mobile a bit too slow.

Mayka, i access this site through my phone only when i don't have the time to online on my desktop. It is very convenient, since it is not necessary to sit in front of the computer to be able to online. The only thing i don't really like to use my phone to online because it is quite slow. And i am only able to access one site at a time using my phone. I still prefer to access through my computer when online, since i can go to many sites at a time.

i travel for a couple of hours everyday. It gets boring sometimes just sitting in trains and buses. So was wondering if I could use that time in a useful manner by mylotting. Dont know if it will work though.

Indeed, it is quite boring traveling in trains and buses without any medium of entertainment. But, you will need a wifi connection to be able to access mylot through your phone.

Hi mayka! It is not easy to go for mylotting on any kind of mobile handset (be it touch screen or qwerty keypad). Mobile phones' screens are smaller and keys are too tiny to put fingers. It requires hell lot of efforts to post a single response from a mobile handset. Moreover, I've observed that 'net' connection works slowly on most of the handsets (even 3G). If one is free and is not around his PC/laptop then it is OK to use mobile for responding once in a while. I sometimes use my Nokia E-5 to respond to posts, which I can not resist to answer immediately.

I never use mobile phone for internet purpose. But I heard many are using mobile for mylotting. Still I felt those are not happy with it completely. One of my friends told me that rating is not possible, once I asked why her reputation is too low she replied that using mylot from mobile and rating is not possible. May be it depends on the handset too. Anyway it is understandable a mobile can’t give the same satisfaction like a desktop or laptop.

Sree - I may add here that 'rating' is possible through mobile handset (I've done it). However, it takes time for entire page to reload on a mobile handset which makes you feel impatient.

I don't use my mobile for any web browsing. I will definitely need an upgrade for that. I tried once from the one I have now but it was very hard to see anything. I don't think it was myLot's setup though..it was my terrible phone.

If you have a smartphone with internet access you can do mylot from you phone. It works just like it does when your using the computer at your home. I use it some times while i'm out and have nothing else to do because i'm bored.

I do have access to mylot in my mobile, but I couldn't respond to any discussions. So I rather use my lap top to enjoy mylot. I think it is for other mobile phones. I wish I can have easy access to it.

I want to get a new handset so was wondering if I should get one that will give me easy access to mylot while travelling. Not many cell phone users here I think. Lets see what I decide later.

Accessing mylot using my phone is much easier than using a desktop or laptop. There is just one issue i sometimes encounter when making a post through my cellphone, i always get the error "To avoid spam, only members that has the rating of 500....". I don't know exactly why i'm getting these error cause i know that i'm not even copying any content and pasting it on mylot. All post that i made are my own.

I do serve mylot from both personal computer and smartphone with internet enabled. I would say that mylot seems to be exactly the same from both gadgets. The content of the website did not reduced nor disappear like many of the older phones would have. Though I do find there is difference in moving in mylot website and typing. I have to go to major tabs before assessing the sub tabs. It is also much slower to type from my smartphone which would take longer time for me to respond.

good day. Using a mobile phone for mylotting is great. Not that its very easy to use if you are connected to a wifi or any fast connection as it is very portable. Me, i use mobile phone in mylotting too. The orientation is also good. You will get used to it. The first time will be that much confusing but you will get it easily.

Hey Mayka, I used my cell to sign up with mylot and I use it Exclusively . Never actually used my laptop to log on....so, Having said that, I guess the mobile site is user friendly enough.
