Can Rafa Rescue Roman?

It is almost 19 years since Chelsea went seven league games without winning. Rafa has the fans against him -can he possibly turn his sad and sorry Chelsea team around?

Chelsea has a history of a having a slump in november and it is all happening again now. It will not be easy for Rafa to turn things around in such a short time. Moreover, the fans do not like him and any poor results will be greeted with disdain. The bet now is whether Chelsea will see two sacking within a season. Don't bet against it.

They have some easier games coming up but they are struggling at the moment. I do not think that Benitez was the answer to their problems.

Rafa's record so far is perfect, 0 wins. 2 draws and 1 bad loss to the Hammers is not something that would build confidence. Of course, the mid week 6-1 hammering that they gave Nordsjaellend could be something that is welcome, but in the league they have been poor for some time now. I think one or two more bad decisions and Chelsea might lose it's second manager before the January transfer window!! Cheers! Ram
