Bandwagon discussions

I just noticed that whenever there are hot issues around, there are lot of discussions about it appearing here in mylot crating a bandwagon effect. Some just create it in different ways so that it will not looks the same as the others while in fact, they almost have the same content.
I cannot blame them in posting such discussions because this is a free forum.
I too, made discussions on some hot issues but I used to search first it there are already discussions about it and read it carefully before posting to avoid my discussions being deleted.
How about you mylotters, do you also ride hot issues and post them here in mylot? Good day mylotters.

I don't think same theme / topic is violation; consider myLot as blogs inside blogs; where people may bring their original writing based on anything; including "hot issues".
if The Sun post something about Obama visits to Europe; then The New York post is not allowed to write the same thing (Obama visits to Europe) ? I don't think so

I agree with you, we cannot control the said incidents because there are lot of memebeers here and sometimes, you cannot tell everyone that I am going to post this and this so better think of your own.
Sometimes, even you don't see the same discussion, you will be surprised that someone already posted it after you are done with your discussion.

Well firstly I agree with you,when we post a discussion we should check it in mylot first,but I think most of mylotters do not have that time and mood to do so,such as me,and we just post discussions when we have some good feeling or something we really want to share with you guys,so pls forgive us,my friend.

I am not angry about it. I just noticed such things. You are right, sometimes, you will just get frustrated if you are excited to post such discussion ending up that there are already the same discussions of the hot issues.
For me, I will still find time to check if there are already the same discussion posted before posting a hot issue discussion.

I usually post about my personal experiences. That is the reason why I seldom post my own discussions.

It is really hard to think for a discussion. I agree with you, sometimes, personal experiences are better than any other hot issues.

sometimes it happens to me because I forget what I've done within discussions.
but I think this is normal since the discussion is interesting and a little different things and new discussion.

I agree with you. Different people have their different idea. This might be the reason because some are creative in posting the discussion. It is a matter of how are you going to attract your readers and other members.

I don't check if others have posted this topic or not , whatever i feel like discussing i write it . I am confident , it is original and not plagiarized .It can't be prevented sometimes we may have written what is already written but still there would always be difference in delivering the discussion.

I think it is on your own way on how to deliver the discussion. It is on how you will be creative in attracting readers and members to respond on your discussion.

To me it's more jumping on the bandwagon as the hot topic of the day. But, I start discussions that are somewhat mundane and I have little or no hits. I can't even make something like 'cats' sound interesting. But being this is a free forum, everyone on here is going to talk about the same thing, only in different subtexts.

I agree with you. I think time is also uncontrollable, due to many members here, you might not know if your will be the first one to post such discussions. sometimes, when you serch for discussion, no one posted it but after you are done, there are some discussion already posted.

hi a sdomencil I s eldom do as for every hot issue there are already too many discussing that and some will be deleted. I am not f ond of losing earnings and posts I just post from my own experiences a lot as there will be nothing in my lot
like mine as we are all unique. I often posts on things in mylot too but check to see if there are 20 others already posted on the same topic. So I let those with the hot news take center stage. I will wait behind the lines then if nobody else volunteers this particular item I will post it.I let the rest do the bandwagon
stuff as there are already dupliocates of some of that s tuff floating around. The first one is great, the rest will or should be deleted.

You are right, there are some mebers that reports them to the admin making some of the discussions deleted due to duplication. Sometimes, it is still best to post discussions based on your experience and other observations rather than riding the hot issues.
