Six months ago ,I started working. My company is an ODM ,who manufactured computers ,including HP,DELL,LENOVO,SONY,TOSHIBA and so on. I think I am not happy working here. The environment of our company look like most of employees have to work overtime, which is unacceptable. The main reason why is that our salary too low to afford our expending of daily life,so the pressure of life force us to work on weekends. I thought a lot of about my career planning, should I continue staying here ,or hunting for an other job?

Presently, i am working in a travel agency but not satisfied with my present job as the salary is very low. the income is not enough to afford our expense of the daily life. although the work pressure is not so much but such a low salary is not sufficient for leading a life in todays world. so, will i quit my job or stay with that. whats ur opinion ?

Agree with your point, adhyz.Bittu, you should take the family factor into consideration. well, in my opinion,a good job means that you can continue learning new knowledge ,promoting communicating skills ,enhancing abilites of solving problem. My current job provide the precious for me to learn how to deal with difficults with a calm brain, to develop a rigorous logic thinking, So I prefer to stay here for several years.

I think if you are not satisfied with your salary and not happy on your work, you really need to find another job that suits you.But before leaving that company you must be first assure that you already found a new job because it will be hard if you quit right away without any assurance that you'll get hired in another company.

Thanks for your remind ! People always do their best to avoid getting in trouble ,so do I.After considered many factors ,I realize that studying and improving career skills are main task at now, obviously ,it's not wise to give up my current job halfway.I mean that working for a certain time is more acceptable than for half year.

It is hard to find works in today's life so if there are job opportunities we easily take them. Because of these we cant easily let go of a job which we are not happy with because of the expectation that we cannot find another job. Most company offer low salary and abuses employee for they know that employee cant easily complain on them. Its up to you brother if you can still take it stay but try hunting some better ones and if you found something then feel free to resign. There are many better opportunities waiting for you.

You mean the bad economy status?Indeed, the future of world economy still unclear,so most of job hunters will hesitate unless their have certain options. But according to the rulers of supply between demand,if the venture recognize you are the right person ,the ball is on our side.

I know someone who was not satisfied with his job, but continued because he needed to earn at least the salary the company is giving. Salary, overtime, or other factors may be the reason why you are unhappy with the work. But I think the most important thing is that you are not interested in your work in first place. My friend is taking a course on education for special children. She is on the practicum, and it's been long time since she teach them. She always says that it is so tiring, stressed job without any payment since it is just a practicum, but she never says that she is unhappy with it. She has a passion in her work and she is satisfied. It may not be about salary being low, or having unacceptable number of overtime. If you have no passion or feeling toward your job, it would be better to drop it and find a new one which you feel happy to work on even when the conditions are not satisfactory.

Dear KK ,your proposal is wonderful,I completely agree with you . It is true that work is boring in the long run ,but we can not lost our passion, which affect our life deeply. I really admired your friends you mentioed, she set an example for me.More or less,,I care salary too much. But compare to others ,I not even reach the average standard.

You should find another job so that you will not experience that kind of work. Performing your job for granted is not an accomplishment in your career. Check out other job opportunity and look for a job that will qualify you and your ability. Because the willingness to perform the job affects the output you produce.

Hi,my dear pals ,I stand on your side on this issue that we should value job base on our career planning. Let me put it this way,I am not satisfied with present company mainly result from low payment and overtime working environment.Of course ,my current employer is a great enterprise in a sense,I could learn lots of skills and broden my horizen . Consider the experience is useful to my next career planning ,I'd like to accept the chance to enhance my peosonal comprehensive ability so that I am qualified to a better job. Everything takes time to prove it ,I believe I can achieve my goal one day ,haha. Appreciate your kind advice again, thank you !

I suggest you should find another job. Go for a job that makes you satisfied and have a good environment. Being in a company that have much pressures and lack of salary is stressful. You are not able to work properly in that kind of environment.Just focus on your career plans and improve your abilities and skills in looking for a new job that will satisfy your self worth.

I never tried work yet.If your hunting a job make sure that the company or employer would meet your benefits. But if I have a job I will make sure that position of the job I have is the one I like.Cos it is useless if I have a job then I don't event like it.

Hi friend, good to know you got a job in a manufacturing company. As you mentioned you are in need to do the over time job as well as the salary is low, it shows that you are not comfortable with that job, it is not good to do a job with out interest, just search for other good jobs and do your job until finding a good job

Hi prakash,we have often been told that It's not a good choice to do a job we show little interest on it . After evaluating present situation ,I found my current company is worth staying for fresh men. As the payment and overtime working ,the key point is how you adapting the envoronment .

Hi friend, sad to hear that you are not satisfied with your job, it is really hard to continue with a job which is not comfortable to you. Better to search for a new job and give up your job after getting a new job. If a person do his work without his interest, he don't have the ability to shine in the field, as he is not interested with the field. He can do his work without any willingness and his progress will be zero. Don't waste your life in this sort and find your job in your favorite field and face the new challenges with your interest, surely you will achieve a lot with your job and become a successful person with your career

My dear pal ,more than appreciating your suggestion, actually ,the salary is the main reason why I not satisfied with current job.But thinking it over again ,I make up my mind to continue working here because I can gain lots of experience which is unable to replaced by money .For my career and ideal job consideration ,I think it's better to catch the chance to improve comprehensive individual ability ,at the same time ,money is the second factor.

For me, i never experience having work but i think you better live if your salary can afford your daily expenses. But before you resign you should have back up. Like looking for possible companies who need someone like you, then if you think one or more company accept you but have higher salary than before you better grab it than staying at the company without having income at all. And if your single you can have part time jobs during weekends so that you can have allowance if you wanted so

If your going to ask me ill tell you to leave the company since what you are earning is not sufficient. But i guess that will not be so easy. The best thing is to plan. If you are going to resign is there a company that will immediately hire you. I think before you leave the company make sure that you have researched possible companies where you can apply. Doing so will make the time of you having no work not to be long.

Hi cayo, personally ,I consider my present job is result from lacking of experience.I always thought that salary will be increased after you became an offcial worker, but the truth turned out i was wrong. I still remembered the conversation between the H.R manager and me.He told me the salary marked at the contract was my basic payment, also I could gained extra bonus every month, that is mean final payment can reach my expectation. Well, you guessed it ,I have accepted the offer . My salary still remained same compared to the intership time .Regarding the bonus ,it is making money through overtime working ,which was really disappointed me . I felt I was taken in by the HR manager.

Working is for you to gain something that satisfies your needs and those rewards be it in the form of salary or any other form of compensation, should be adequate for you. If you think that you are not satisfied with your job, may be there are better opportunities waiting for you out there, you just have to explore. But you should also observe those employees before you, have they been successful? Maybe that's just a test to your patience and your true objective in joining the company. If you see that your colleagues, those ahead of you are successful, then you should be a little patient and be effective and efficient, so that eventually you will get your promotion. Maybe those employees working overtime have got to adopt to their working environment, and maybe they enjoy their work so they are staying. What I am trying to say is you evaluate yourself if you can live with what you are experiencing now or should you go hunting for other good opportunities, for sure there are many out there laid for you.

You expressed the truth meaning hidden in my mind, giving me a fresh remind.I agree with you in at a large scale ,thanks your kind proposal. Yeah,at the start of current job ,I disliked the working environment as well as payment, which seemed an unacceptable fact.later on,my manager mailed me an article related to career development.Something changed completely ,for the first I understood career planing. As a rookie ,it is unwise to care too much about the money ,while should pay more attention on studying and skills improvement.I made up my decision to stay here for several years till i able to afforded a good job. We cannot deny the fact that someone succeed though they changing job frequently ,bu it is rare, not a reasonable phenomenon. So,dear pal, what is your opinion, wish you happy on your job life.

career planning takes time. you need to plan it carefully and take every opportunity even the small one because this can help you to succeed in your career. if you are not contented in you job take time before you resign. because when you stay in the company for a little time and resign this will reflect on your record and not a good step to plan your career to succeed. don't just look for big salary but instead look for a company that can help you succeed on your career and can help you learn a lot and can give you opportunity to explore more on the field of career that you choose.

Yeah ,I do know your purpose that resign is not the right way to solve the problem .First of all ,I need change my thinking class on career planing. The job offer big salary does not mean a good opportunity,on this topic ,I can not agree with you any more. For our rookies ,it is important to evaluate our demand ,then we will know which kind of position is proper to our career. As many people said ,we have no anvantage on looking for job cause we lack of experience as well as the ability of communication. After consideration most of current factors,it turns out it is reasonable taht i stay here to improve my personal ability. so ,how do you think it ?

Don't immediately resign in your work hunting first a job that can replace on it and have a better workplace and environment. you are not satisfied what are the exchange of work and as you said its only six months that you are working in that company and you are not happy about it any more. The reason why you are not happy because you are not expecting that you work hard and the exchange of it is not enough because you have many wants and needs to fulfill. You can resign to your job because of your reason unhappy is enough you can not work well and can also cause stress on you so better to find other job and make sure that the work place is different from your resent company.

I know you hope me not to fall into finacial crisis when I am hunting for a new job. I talk about this topic with my cousin, who are four years elder than me.According his advice ,it is not a good choice to quit my current company . First,I not satisfied with the salary. He suggest that money is not the key factor to value a job is good or not, experience and skills is more important than payment. Second ,if i gonging out to look out another position,I will treated as a employee who lack of loyaity, for I just service a enterprise only six months. Third, ask myself heartly what kind of job is my best wanted ,thinking it over.it is not proper making up decision

Doing things you are not interested at all is just a waste of time and effort. Try to seek for a new job which will give you more benefit and which interests you most. A satisfied employee will be more productive. Try to measure things, if you are not happy anymore at your current job be sure that when you already have a new job you will be more willing and motivated to work. Be contented for what you have right now. Goodluck!

Yeah,I do care the salary too much, but My current income is too low to accept.Yesterday, one of my classmates told me that his wage increased by 70%,which almost as twice as mine. As all said ,money is not everything, put it in this way ,there are something that can not valued by money ,such as experience ,skills ,a advantaged organization. In fact ,I thought it over recently. It is not proper to qiut my job now ,for I have been working for approximately seven months that put me in an awkard place for seeking new position.

If you have joined the company just six months back it is too early for you to entertain thoughts of moving on. I think it is ok for you to work a bit hard at the start of the career as long as you are learning. If you feel that the learning in the job is not there, then you can think about it. But if you are unable to take stress for 6 months and quit due to that, other companies you apply for will hold that against you. So I would recommend that you stay put at least for a period of two years and then think about moving on. Cheers! Ram

Hi ram ,appreciate your advice, you are right.Frequently changing job is not good for my career, for new companies will doubt my working experience and loyalty. Well, the reason why I am not favor current job is that the salary didn't meet my expection,I felt really disappointed during past three months. My company is a typical large scale ODM ,where I am access to the integrated MFG process as well as the excellent managing procedure. What's more ,my position require professional skills, aslo do well in communication.Luckily ,it gives me the precious opportunity to improve individual comprehensive qulity, including special knowledge and the ability of solving problem. So ,I decide to continue work here until the end of my contract.I approve your point that working hard, learning more at the early stage of my career.Only if I possess the enough career experience and outstanding ability, can i have advantages in seeking new job.

If you work under great pressure and get little money, you can decide to change a new job. As you said, you cannot bear overtime working or working at the weekends, you have no free time to do anything you like. Just working, it is dull. You need to have a rest. before you quit you job, you should find a new job who accept you since you need money to support yourself.

Being happy with what you are doing is important especially that you deal with it everyday. If you are not happy with the company and unsatisfied with what it offers you, I suggest that you look for another job where you could meet your needs as an individual. I suggest that you research about the company where you would be applying to gather sufficient information about the company and for you to know your expectations as well. If you have some friends who are working on your target company, you might wanna ask them as well for you to have background about the nature of the job and the management of the company as well. Good luck! May you have a job that you prefer and be with the company that you love!

If you think, you are not happy with the chosen job you have. Then I think it's the right time to shift to another career path. Before changing your career path, it should be better if you analyse everything first. You should assure yourself that you have enough fund for job application, job hunting nowadays is quite difficult. You should also assess yourself, what kind of career path will you choose and make sure it is your passion, if it is your passion then it will make you happy with it. Since you've been working for months now, if you have enough money for a small business why not engage yourself in doing business.
17 Jan 13
I agree to to hunt for an other job. i know that working is very hard but you have to earn the money for your family or yourself. the important is your working time and salary. you did not accept your salary and working time. you did not satisfy ! you better find out an other job.
