All ears are ready when she speaks
Like everyone seems interested on her topic
She's always the center of attraction on her class,
Especially Mr. Gaditano's class.
We listen to her dreams and fantasies
And with her illusions she imposes
Oh heavens, please give her lots of miracles
For it can fulfill her dreams.
I don't know if she pretends to be stupid
Or simply an innocent.
Sometimes others are getting annoyed with her innocence
But they dont know that her innocence is her key to strive hard
A sweet sixteen with sense of humor
Her shining shimmering lips utter humorous jokes which make us laugh
She lives with her aunt and uncle
And is deceitful in asking money.
A very techie like me, tries hard to earn money
With her lending business.
Loves make ups and accesories
That's one of Kikay's trademark.
But her real name, Maricar made me amazed
For it comes from variants of Mary
Which means "star of the sea"
That's why she is the "star of our batch"
And a lead star of our classes.
Kikay, whatever you do, wherever you go.
Just remember that we're always there for you
Especially God who is the superior above all
You may not remember us in the future
But God will not forget you
When you have problems
And when your burdens bury you
Don't forget to call Him and lean on us
Coz our companionship will continue until the end.

Welcome here in mylot. I am so glad that you are in this site now so you can share your ideas and thoughts here. I don't know if this is your first discussion here but I am sure that you are one of the newbies. Well, I was only one month old here... Back to your discussion you make me reminisce my teenage life... I remember being young and free with full of dreams and life. You make me smile while reading your post. This Kikay you are referring to is really lucky to be your friend for you really treasure your friendship well.

Well, being a teenager is the most exciting part of life. There, you can gain friends from school, in whom, you will treasure a lot and you will give importance of. During my years in college. I and Kikay had often go through ups and downs of schooling. We used to go to the library and I used to help her with our homeworks. Oftentimes, when she couldn't understand the lessons from our professors, I used also to teach her, which she had appreciated, thanks god. We used to go and eat outside the school during breaktime, mixed with telling some funny jokes and stories. She was very techie, and we often used to share some information about gadget we want to have in the future. I really thank God because I found somebody like her... :)

Well, friendship is really something deserved to be treasured. I have not so many friends, but I have some really close guys. We study together, live in the same apartment, go to libirary, go eating outside, playing tennis and so on, almost everything together! My college life become fantasitic coz of them. I'm a graduate now, and apartment is coming, but I don't think we will really get seperated. Tech is so advanced nowadays... hope our friendship forever and ever!

One of the best thing in life is studies and being a student is accumulated by learning to live a life to the fullest. Well, having friends is an additional thing we can accumulate as we study. We are in a stage wherein we do a part as a student and we do a part as a friend, and all we need to do is to balance them so that it will not be ruined and enjoy being a student....

Is this a poem?? it is indeed beautiful.. well being kikay is more than what their physical appearance wants to show.We need to know a person better before we say something to them. In your poem , i think you are trying to tell us that this girl maricar though, she is a kikay but she has a beautiful heart within her.

Maricar had brighten our days before when we were in college. She had been my companion ever since I stepped on college four years ago, and we had treasured it until she transferred to another school on her second year for an unknown reason. Well, whatever her reason is, I'm pretty sure that god always guides her al throughout her journey. :)

Kikay was my friend and classmate in college. I had so very wonderful moments with her, all the teasings, chasings, homework doings, messing with studies, food trippings, etc. Yeah, I have written some novels, Bridges Of The Air, which I wrote when I was in sophomore high way back in 2003, and The Tale Of A Young Mother, which I was my final project in our Literature class in college. :)

I just love writing poems and songs as well. Writing boosts our imagination and emotions as a human being, and as a human being we are subjected to have somebody to be with or somebody we can call a friend. No, I haven't wrote something about myself...well I'll try hehehe. Thanks for comment :)

Very nice. This reminds me of the song that goes something like, "...in good times and bad times, I'll be on your side forever more. That's what friends are for."

Dionne Warwick song.... I also love that song. It reminds me of our cherished moments when we were in college. Matter of fact, I make a collage of them coz this is my only way of reminiscing them, for I cannot see them anymore coz I just graduated... :)
