Torres -Is Rafa Bringing Out the Best in Him?

December 10, 2012 5:54am CST
Fernando Torres has now scored 4 goals in his last two games following a drought stretching back to early November. Has Rafa worked some magic and re-ignited his confidence. Or does it say more about the poor opposition in these two games?

Fernando Torres can smile more nowadays after he h - Fernando Torres can smile more nowadays after he has got back his scoring touch.
When Chelsea and Torres were not doing well, their ex-coach paid the price for the bad spell. Now that Chelsea and Torres are back to their winning ways, it is only natural and fair that Rafa, their new coach is given the credit. Chelsea is a top class team. Torres is a top class player. They need not prove to any one anymore what they can do - they have won the EPL and UCL - top honors in Europe.

Yes, suddenly Torres seems to have become the goal scoring machine that he was at Liverpool. But whether Rafa has anything to do with it or whether this is a purple patch that he has hit, we will still need to wait and watch. I would rather see how this goes for a few more weeks before we pass the judgement. Cheers! Ram

in my opinion Torres is a great player but not the kind that should play for 90 mins... rather the type to bring in when things are not going well... from what i ve seen he s doing very well when the team is in dire need.

Four games in two the last two games, it seems like Benitez is bring the best out of Torres again. But it is still early days, Torres has shown such form only to fade in oblivion again. So lets see how he perform for the next few games before making judgement.
