Anyone got income from affliate blogging?

I want to know whether anyone got income from affiliate marketing through blog posts.
If yes is it possible within weeks or months? I started own blog with affiliate ones. So i want to know the others results. i don't know whether i can show URL here? as it comes under promoting.

I would love to earn money by writing blogs. But what's that affiliate thing?? I really need someone to explain me all about it.

You're right, you can't show the URL as (really) it doesn't give us any information on your topic.
But yes, it IS possible. How fast is based on a few things: 1) whether your product fills a need (or 'whether someone reading your blog would give money to you in order to own the product') & 2) how many people come to your blog & give you the chance to convince them.
So it starts with the writing on your blog---sorta like SEO, but not so obviously (i.e. use lots of popular keywords, but put them into your blog NATURALLY (not 'just listing `em'), etc.)
Of course, 'what you're selling' also makes a difference. If you want quick money, look to sell something that 1) is delivered to your readers/customers INSTANTLY upon payment & 2) is in high demand.
You probably know exactly what I'm talking about. I don't want to mention it here, because the factors I mentioned above are the 'reasons why' the money-making product I'm hinting-at makes so much money. If we are 'friends here' (connections on each other's myLot-friendlists), I can send you the address to sell that same money-maker ... if you're old enough.
