Doing something nice for eht local human society

I am. I decided last year to do this around christmas. I posted around the college were I work that I was taken donations,like food,cat litter,toys,cleaning supplies and money for the local shelter. as of Thursday I have had only 5 people make donations! All form food service! No other department had made donations and I had only like $4.00 in money donated! Yesterday was the christmas party for faculty and staff. I was at my brother's so I did not know at this time if I had anymore doantions! Maybe I should of tried harder to make sure I had more doantions! Maybe people have no money because of it being the Christmas season. Finals week was last week so I know the students were only thinking about that! Maybe I had my expections set to high! I know the humane society will be grateful for what ever I give them! I just get to frustrated to easily,sometimes!

I did not get alot of donations. Only 5 donated and I was one of them. I collected only $8.06 in cash.I was expecting two more people to donante but they keep forgetting which is be bothering me,even when I reminded them more then once! I know what I did collect will be appreciated.

Good for you for your efforts anyway and whatever you bring to them will be appreciated. I do think this time of year everyone has their hands out for donations and it does get a little wearing. I know I send a check to the Salvation army beside put money in the red buckets....I just get the donation in and another letter comes asking for more.....so maybe you would have better luck if you tried around Valentines day and remind them about the animals that need love and caring.

It was a good idea and maybe it would be better done at another time of the year. ANother idea I have is to do it around Thanksgiving next year until Christmas.
I ended up with only $8.06 in cash. Five people did donate. Two keep forgetting to bring in their donations! Even after reminding them more then once! 
I know what I collected will be appreciated.
I am sure some of th reasons I didn't get many donations is so many other people put their money towards other charities,like the Salvation Army. I did put a few dollars in those red buckets since Turkey day.

Wow you have a kind heart its so good to do something for others. yea people can be a little mean when you ask for donation around this tym coz ur not the only one asking for it. They also think..oh no! Not another donation.! But some people do pay and its good
