Australia have set Sri Lanka a challenging total of 393 to win the first test at Hobart. While initially it might look as too big a task for Sri Lanka to chase down, it needs to be remembered that Australia have lost Hilfenhaus as a bowler to injury in this match, so essentially they will be playing with 4 bowlers. Also, captain Clarke has injured his hamstring and might not take the field. Do you think Sri Lanka can fancy their chances on this one? Cheers! Ram

Honestly enough, I am not following this Test match as I am full with other engagements and also closely following the ongoing last Test match between India and England. I will have to look at the scorecard before saying anything or making predictions. However, as you said, if Hilfenhaus is not there along with the captain, it should make comparatively easier for the Islanders - ooops both of them are islanders. Well, it should make easy for the Lankans, let's put it that way. By the way how much time is left in the match?

Currently Sri Lanka have around 115 overs to get 360 odd runs. But they have just lost their first wicket. Watson has just picked up Dilshan. Cheers! Ram

Sri Lanka have lost two wickets by end of play today. But their two most experienced players Mahela and Sanga are currently at the crease. This partnership is going to decide the fate of the match. Cheers! Ram

you are right there is chance test series with 1-0 lead but before that they have to do work hard as current position is sri lanka no lost on 13 but still far from 393 if they have to get this then defiantly have solid opening partnership because without it hard to get total ...there is extra benefit for sri lanka because Australia now playing with 4 bowler as we know Hilfenhaus is injured and also clark .. Today is Day for that and still 34 overs reaming if sri lanka make 100-120 runs with lost of one wicket then have great chance to win this test match ..for tomorrow they have to carefully play first session , there always high chance to get wicket in first session because of high swing of bowel ... Current position sri lanka still need 373 runs to win this test match .. keep Lotting ..

Yes, this is a golden chance for Sri Lanka, but they would still have to bat out of their skins to win this match. They will need Sanga and Jaya to come to the party. Dilshan sadly has just been dismissed by Watson. Cheers! Ram
