Id love to earn from those so called writing sites....

Ive never have been much of a writer.. Never tried those paid to write article sites.
But after a few months here at mylot, and very active. I feel im more comfortable at writing now. Think Im ready to tackle those paid to write sites. What do you think? Can this girl handle any of those... merry xmas everyone......

There are LOADS of places you can earn from writing - it really depends on how you want to generate your money. There's rev share, direct work, content mills, forum posting, sponsored posts, article marketplaces, job listings, classifieds... all sorts.
Before you get into any of that you should probably ask yourself what you want to do and how you want to earn: just diving in (like I did about 4 years ago) is a really bad move because you end up flailing around and spreading your efforts too wide.
Have a look in the profiles of myLotters who write - they often have sites, blogs and so on listed there (I know I do) and most of the folks I've talked to on here about writing are really friendly and helpful.

It depends how you want to earn. Rev share takes AGES to build up but is residual. Content mills pay rubbish money but it's a quick buck. Direct clients pay a LOT better but it takes time to find them. Article marketplaces pay very, very nicely but there's an interminable wait to sell (unless you're lucky).
A few questions to think about:
What kind of writing do you want to do?
Who do you want to work for?
Do you want a flexible schedule or work to deadline?
How much is your time worth?
Are you self-motivated or do you work better when someone hands you work?
How creative are you, short- and long-term?
Is your writing commercial?
What subjects do you know well?
All of those will help you figure out what suits you best and where to start. Alternatively, you can do what most people do and just sign up with a site like iWriter, produce underpaid content on subjects you don't know much about and not worry about any of the questions. The downside of that is that it's very hard to break free - to better jobs and better pay - once you start on a content mill.

Can I ask are you the Chinese,because I guess by your photo,hope don't mind my question.
I feel so happy since I came to mylot,here not only can meet many friends who come from all over the world but earn extra money,though it is just a little,I am satisfied with it,it seems the encourgement which makes you stay here and fall in love with mylot,lol.

As an online writer for almost a year now - yes you can earn nicely from it.
Where you should start depends heavily on your English level, topics you are going to write about, learning curve & amount of time you are willing to invest in it.

You can try, if your English grammar is perfect. Mine is not, so I neither can tell about yours, because I don't notice subtle mistakes. What I want to say is that you don't have to be a writer, to be gifted for this, to be creative, in order to write articles. You just have to do your research well and made an effort of synthesis and rephrasing. If you feel comfortable with this... go for it. It will surely bring you more earnings than mylot. Good luck! :)

Freelance.com and odesk.com are the first sites that pop into my mind. You just have to be patient until you receive a job there, but when you earn experience and project done, it will be easier.
Constant-content.com is the most rewarding from what I heard. But your grammar and style should be without any mistake. Otherwise they will ban your account.

Hi Mariaperalta, what is your reason for writing articles?
Best to have your motive correct before you do anything.
if it is for money, i can tell you that the first few months will be very discouraging.
You can write ten articles per day for a whole month, and the earnings probably just a few dollars.
You will get desperate and disappointed for the lack of page views, and income.
Most writers give up at this point, when the earnings start to come in.
The best is to write as you please.
You will not feel disappointed since your satisfaction comes from within.

You can earn good money from writing but you have to keep in mind three things: plagiarism is not accepted, must have good grammar, write in niche subjects. I'm writing too, but not much as I'm not an English native and it's difficult to me, it takes me too much time to write a correct and interesting articles. But there are sites that pay for traffic too, so your earnings come along once you posted the articles. There are even contests and articles to write on demand where you can earn much more if you are selected.Good luck my dear!

I am also trying my best in order to earn from writing because I can read several articles that earning from this activity is good. So even though I must admit I am not a professional writer, I would like to try and as of now I am starting with. I am learning everyday and I am happy for that although I know there are still lot of things that I have to learn but sooner I am positive that I could achieve success on this field.

You are never going to make a lot of money writing online unless you become sponsored to write reviews or your blogs go Viral.
I have written online for years, I have made a little money. I write because I enjoy it and I do make a little money.
I think if I put in more effort, I could make more money from my writing.
There is also another reason to write - Our grammar does improve the more we write. We find our writing style as we write more. Once you have a style, you will find it easier to earn from different opportunities

Well,its a good thing to start writing .Basically you need the passion and the interest for things.If you feel, you are really interested and to give a try, please do.My best wishes for same.As in any field, the initial attempts could be tough.Some might be accepted and some could be rejected.There could be delays and other frustrations.You need to have the perseverance and will to learn and exceed.Failures and success come and go.You need to learn from how you failed and how succeeded to help you grow and move forward.But once you are consistent for sometime, you will definitely see the results.If you think you are ready for all these, then i guess you should be able to handle what it all takes to be writer.But then,do search for other tips from mylot and other mylotters. I made the most money writing for Breakstudios.com and for Associated Content. Associated Content is now owned by Yahoo and I do not like it anymore, but I am considering trying to write for breakstudios.com again.

I think Im not available to work on this kind of sites, my English grammar is not so good, I know that I commit a lot of mistakes, so this option wont be possible at this moment for me. I try to use this site to practise and the idea is not to forget my english lessons that I took on the past. So mylot is just for fun, I wont take it as a part job or all stuff. If you love writing and you think you have something other people would love to read, then check into some of those writing sites. I like to write too, and had joined helium, but I found writing those types of articles were just not for me. I have written a couple of stories, one has gotten lost along the way and then I have another one I wrote and have thought about submitting it to a children's publication, but I'm just not sure if I want to do that or not.
Only you are able to know if you could write something someone else might want to read. Do you have the time? The energy? The material? If you do, then try it and see what happens.

I think you would do well on a couple article sites sure. Look up the one for MG if you're not on it yet under admin - Triond. They accept pretty well I think, if you haven't tried it yet.
