feeling like a boss

guys, I find it weird when some people are acting like a boss even they are already not in the office. Let's say you are in a vacation with friends... do you guys act like a boss? I mean do you know how to be in other people's shoes and act on the same level? Can you do it for the sake of kindness? I really think that we should all learn how to deal with different kinds of people and adjust ourselves when needed. I'm just so disappointed to those who don't take the initiative to offer whatever help they could do.. well we have different personalities but mature people should act like a mature one, right?

I find it hard to understand what you mean by:acting like a boss. Do you mean they are more dominant as others? Or like to arrange everything or are more like a leader? If so.. haven't you noticed it always been that way? There are people who are active, people who are passive. There are born leaders, born followers. There are people who are great in organising and people who are great in working it out. In some cases it may feel as if they overrule other people, in very less cases people feel offended by this kind of persons/personalities/character. Many do find it great as well (not everybody likes to be active, a leader, take all the responsibilities). I don't know why you feel disappointed to those who don't take the initiative to offer .. help. Why should you feel disappointed? Why should they always offer help? Isn't it that we all are responsible for us at the first place? Yes I act like the boss since I am in charge plus the one who knows best plus I am the one who is paying and in the end the one who will be hold responsible for everything. Yes I know how it is to be in somebody else's shoes. I've been in way more situations as you can even imagine. I would not go on vacaton with friends. If it depends on who those friends are in how far I will go to do it my way (since it's my vacation as well). They are free to join or do something else. Also I would not force my opinion or advice or whatever up to anyone else. Yes we all have different personalities and that is a good thing. It would be very boring if we all would be exactly the same. A real friend will know that plus say what is on his/her mind without being annoyed or being feared to be rejected.

what I was trying to say when I said "acting like a boss" is the personality of doing nothing instead of taking the initiative to do the task.. I fully know that there are people who are born leaders same with those who are the opposite of it but it doesn't mean that a leader should always command and instruct, sometimes we need to know how to be a good example to others by doing what is right without need of waiting for a word before we act. Yes, I feel so disappointed to see people acting like a boss and if that is how I feel, that is my right and we all have the right to express our opinion here. I'm not even convincing others to feel the same or force my opinion to anyone. everyone is free to say whatever they want about this topic coz we all have different personalities. I agree with your reasoning that we are all responsible to our own acts and we shouldn't expect others to always help us but isn't it more enjoyable to be with people who have an initiative? I'm not saying that we should all have exactly the same personalities, my point is we should try to develop a good attitude towards other people as much as we can. thank you for sharing your thoughts here.

Maybe we will think our boss is too mean to get along with, he or she is not that generous, not that clever, but we need to admit that he or she is boss, there should be some reasons for him or she to be a boss, he or she must have something perfect.

I'm not questioning if he or she is a boss. What I'm trying to say is, you shouldn't act like a boss when you are not in the office. One good example that I gave was when taking a vacation with friends. Do you think it's proper to act like a boss with your friends, treat them as your subordinates, and don't participate in any tasks like doing household chores just because you think that you are a boss in your office? well,

No body in the world is perfect even a boss is not complete in all aspect. He may learn from his fellow workers. Therefore acting like a boss every where is not good. They have the capabilities to lead a group of people and manage them in a proper way, that doesn't mean whatever they say or whatever they do is absolutely correct.Thank god my boss is not like that.He is very friendly and everytime make us comfortable working with him in the work place and give proper recognition and reward for good work.
