No Blood Tears for Elena? / myLot

I was watching episode 2 of Season 4 of the Vampire Diaries and I noticed something odd about it. Elena is now a vampire and when they cry they have blood tears (at least in this vampire version). However, in one scene when Elena was so distraught she cried normal human tears---why is that? Did the director miss this one or is there a plot twist here somewhere along the way?

I thought they had blood tears in True Blood! Is it the same with the Vampire Diaries? Maybe I am confused here but I will make sure to notice at the next epeisode if someone cries!

You know what...you're correct. It was True Blood vampires that cries blood tears. I have been watching both shows and I guess I mixed them up. Thanks for pointing that out. Regards!
