Music speaks to the soul - or, mostly, the brain, and by speak I mean alters it a little. But I love listening to music to help me improve my mood or, if nothing else, to find something that I can deeply relate to in the situation I'm going through at any given moment. Then again, there are times when a song will come on and drag me down to a low point because it reminds me of something sad. It's amazing how much music can alter your moods.

This is common with people who have theme songs with their relationship/s. The song reminds them of people that they once shared a particular song. There are songs that remind us of situations too- or events whether it is good or bad. There are also songs that we relate to our life- like it is telling a particular part of our life.

The feeling of an uplifting moment whenever I hear a favorite song way back then and even until now has really tended to shift back to memories of the past especially with my exes, lol! Reminiscing that certain moment in time with that special song in mind really seems to put a smile on my face.

There are songs that will remind me of the past, and I will quickly switch the song because it makes me feel sad. I will switch the channel to something with more energy and a bit of a beat. Music really does change my moods, and I am thankful for the music I have in my life.

I had an experience with a particular song, and it was a beautiful experience because I really felt good afterwards. One night I fell as sleep and I forgot to take off my headset, it kept playing until morning. I think I was half as sleep then and dreaming, when this particular song was playing on my headset. The song was "You Were Mine" (a Dixie Chicks cover done by Avril Lavigne), and it was halfway to the last chorus when I felt the tears were pouring from my eyes. It really felt weird at first, well it's a nice song and it's very sad actually, it's about a man leaving his wife and their two kids for another woman, but this song has no connection to me, yet it made me cry. And I forgot what was my dream then. But I felt good about it and the song is one of my favorite now :)

Yes, every songs in a different year have different memory for me. Because some songs are during my college life, some are during my school time, some are during courtship etc.. It reminds me of different person when the songs are played. Listening to them brought me back to memory lane.

Yes, musis is the language of the soul. You can be happy or inspired when you hear good music and sad too if you listen to sad music. Music can change the mood of the person. Take time to listen to good music. God Bless
