So I have tried to not using alarm clock to get up in the morning every morning because alarm clock always wake me up made me feel worse or shocked in the morning, I have done it for several months now and it's working out nice, I always wake up at about 6 a.m everyday, even though somedays, I don't get up on time, which in case my parents will wake me up. Do you need alarm clock to wake up in the morning? Have you tried not to use alarm clock?

I have a alarm clock but I don't use it because my girl friend calls me every day in morning to say good morning and wishing a nice day ahead. So if there is someone in your life who want to say first good morning to you, then give them liberty to do so, because it will give a good start of your day.

That's great for you to have someone like that. I agree, it'll make you motivated to start a day.

Now it is holidays so I have told her to not to wake me up early, she understands me but demands to talk up to late night. I know I have to keep up the balance so there is no option for me. She thinks that it is important to talk everyday even if there is no topic. I think it shows her love for me, and she misses me much.

Oh, but it's still good that you can manage to wake up on your own though.

Sometimes I also don't hear my alarm clock, and I sometimes wake up late, It's quite pitiful... I am too excited with my dream when sleeping... But dream is dream only, it is only when we are sleeping. When we wake up, that's the real life.

I usually set my alarm on my phone every morning for 515am but my body automatically wakes up at 5am so I just end up shutting my alarm off and getting up and I jump right in the shower. I know some people need time to wake up before going ahead with their morning activities but not me. I always still have about 20mins to relax before having to leave for work. So needless to say yes I can wake up in the morning without an alarm clock.

Well, for me I am not impressed of my alarm clock at all. I would set it for 5 am. But by 4 am I am awake already. So my alarm clock is always late. he he Well, anyway, I am a morning person,so with or without alarm clock I would usually wake up early. Specially this time that I am working online, I have to wake up very early so I could still work before going to my offline work. Have a nice day!

Hi, If I have to wake up very early in the morning i.e. before 6 I need alarm clock to wake me up. My wife doesn't need alarm clock. She doesn't like to lye on the bed for long time. I like it. I have sound sleep and I need alarm clock. I don't wake up immediately after alarm but I take some minutes to wake up.

Without an alarm to wake me in the morning I would certainly run the risk of waking up too late for work, which is something that I have intention of risking. I consider it to be my responsibility to arrive at work by the correct time and intend to continue doing so. Waking up naturally is a far preferable arrangement and I agree that it feels much better, but the risks far outweigh the benefits to me. If I had the option to start the day at whatever time I chose then I would not use alarm. As it is I always set the alarm on my mobile phone to ensure being awake at 6 AM on weekdays.

That's right, if you intend not to use alarm clock without the risk of overslept then one of solution is to have someone to wake you up in case of it. But if there is no one to wake you up, I think it's better to use alarm clock rather than being late to work.

I must have alarm to wake up due to no exact time to go for bed. This is usual timetable happens on daily. Some times its disturbs a lot most in week end where I will make myself discipline to wake up.

I actually never try alarm clock if i don't have to change my time to get up in morning. If i get up at same time i don't use alarm but if i have to get up early i have to use it.

I havent used an alarm clock for about a year now. that's the beauty of not having a boss. I dont need to wake up early so i wont be late for work but if I do have a schedule that I need to keep... i think I'd have to start using one again otherwise I'll be late daily

Hmm, it happened to me when I using alarm clock too, maybe since you know the alarm clock will ring, your body will respond a need to turn it off so it will wake up earlier than alarm clock, in my case I'm scared to hear the ringing so I ended up waking up earlier sometimes or even don't really have a good night sleep which leave me sleep deprived the day after...

I don't need an alarm clock for i got a body alarm clock. No matter how tired i am or how late i slept , still i wake up in my schedule time. I am so thankful that i got that body response else i will always be late in my businesses. I guess it is all about mind setting. If your mind is programmed to wake up in that particular time then the body will follow. A matter of mind setting only. I guess this is also what others doing. Just practice it , by and by you will perfect it !

Yeah, you are right, nowadays my body seems to adapt to the schedule and even if I sleep later than usual, I usually will always wake up at 6 a.m though sometimes it's a little late like 6.30 a.m

I don't need alarm clock to wake up in the morning because I have this so-called "body-clock" most of the time it is really advantageous because I don't get tardy in my classes but I hate it when it's weekend or I have no class but still I wake up very early.

I also tried waking up in the morning without an alarm clock and the results for me was so terrible. I was not able to wake up early. I was late for work. Waking up in the morning is so hard, I commend you for not having to rely on an alarm clock. I wish I can do the same thing.

My first alarm clock was also very VERY loud. So loud that once I woke up to a fire alarm (someone burned some cheese) and thought for a whole minute that it was my alarm. Now I use the alarm on my cellphone and I can set it on vibrate so I could wake up without being shocked. Maybe you can try that too if you have one or buy an alarm clock that isn't as loud. It's awesome that you can wake up on your own but maybe you can have one just in case.

I tried to used alarm clock during the holidays which is actually my mobile phone's alarm clock. At the beginning on using the alarm clock, I will eventually shocked and woke up straight away around 1 to 5 times. When it comes to the second week, I can't even wake up even I am shocked by the alarm clock. I will eventually turn it off and continue sleep even I turn on 5 or 6 alarm clock at once. That is bad of me. xD But when it comes to school days, I will have my mother to wake me up so I will straight away wake up. Even I can't wake up at the moment when she wake me up, she will eventually tried to not let me fall asleep again and pull of my blanket and fold my blanket so I will wake up because of the coldness in the morning. xD If I did not use alarm clock, I won't be able to wake up on time. That is because once I sleep I will mostly have a dream. When I am dreaming, I can't even wake up and wanted to continue it. You know, once a person dreaming, it is way harder to be awake from sleep. That is why, I mostly wake up around 9 or 10 when I do not have an alarm clock. That is why for me, during holidays, sometimes I do use alarm clock, sometimes I will not use alarm clock because I want to sleep more. And when it comes to school days, I will eventually need my mother's help to wake me up on time to prepare for school. :)

I stopped using the alarm clock when I stopped going to work every morning. It was wonderful not to get that shock awakening 5 days a week. I only use the alarm now if I have to get up early for something important. You can relax knowing that if you don't wake up your parents will be the alarm clock for you! This is a good precaution because we cannot be sure that we will not be disturbed in the night and that could clause us to oversleep.

Actually I am not fond of setting alarm clock every time I go to bed because as you said earlier it will just make me feel worse and a headache will strike. I usually get up in the morning at 9:00 am to 10:00 am. I can do all the sleeping longer because I go for work at 12:00 noon. Sometimes I do skipped my breakfast because of the long time of sleeping.
