cop story anyone??

well many of you might already know by a previous discussion that my husband just received 2 tickets when we got stopped by a road block.
well that has me curious about other people stories and how you either got out of it or what you ended up with.
sometimes when you get pulled over or hit a road block you think your getting 1 ticket and you leave 3 tickets later.
so I am asking do you have any experiences or stories you would like to share with me???

I have not had a ticket for quite a few years, but I was pulled over 2 months ago for making a right turn on red where a sign expressly prohibits it. I told the officer I did not see the sign, admittedly by mistake, and he asked me for my operators license and proof of insurance which I provided. He went back to his car, ran the information and came back with a book in his hands. I was sure I was getting a ticket, but he said that I have no records of moving violations, and he did not want to "ding" me for something that I admitted to missing, so he gave me a written warning. I thanked him for the warning, and for pointing out to me about the sign, and I went about my day.

sounds like you found a very nice cop. they are few and far between but I an glad you were able to get away with that 
that to me is an honest mistake there is 1 light here in my town that I use to do that to all the time until my husband was in the car one day and pointed it out. I just never noticed there wasn't a sign there because I was able to see clearly both ways. I don't do it anymore tho and my husband isn't driving anymore until we get his license lol.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is great to know about acquiring the tickets and it is great when u get free tickets on the way and that would have made your journey very exciting. It will give u an opportunity to go to the event of the ticket that u have. Besides i have never come across such an incident and it would be exciting for me if i ever get a ticket during the road block.

it would have been so much more exciting for me if I was the one driving since I do have a license 
but I will admit that it is something I have never experienced so it is a new opportunity for me. we have learned what we need to do to fix what happened as best we can so we did learn something new in all this. I just haven't found the words to tell my father since my car is in his name and yes most cops will find as many reasons as they can to give you a ticket but there are times you can find a nice enough cop that will let you off with a warning they are just few and far between.
