Good day Fellow Mylotters, A while ago, my sister told me that we need to enroll in a Paperless Billing Statement since the Internet Provider here in our place starts to charge an extra on every paper print-out. The idea is very good since it will promote a more thrifty way as it will save the cost in some areas like printing, paper cost and the delivery cost. However, I am quite afraid if this procedure will be given a proper attention by the Internet Service Provider. As the line connection is always disturb. The connection always cut-off due to some wind blows. And there are times, it runs so slow. In this regard, we are somehow hesitant to enroll neither apply for the Paperless Billing Scheme. But, if we don't apply for it, they will gonna charge an extra. It looks like they are giving us no choice on this matter and this makes me pissed off. . If only we have a choice.

Hello Airasheila, Whose INternet Provider were you referring to? because GLOBE did propose that to us and every single month we've been getting a lot bills not only through paper but also in my email. well, even to this year we are still being given some good old fashioned paper and i have burned some of them too. maybe when there is more internet providers then they might consider being more lenient and friendly.

i guess, you hit it right. i just hope that they can do their part on this process so as not to incur any delay. since they cannot really done their task responsively.

Ironically my mum mentioned to me the other day that some banks are starting to change the way they operate they want their members to get their statements online and not paper based. Well I am sorry I personally don't like banking online, I am old school I like the personal touch of walking into my bank or being able to request a statement as well as get a paper copy once a month. They think everyone has a computer and everyone banks online! They should stop sending out junk mail in the post that will cut down on the paper wastage if they are that concerned!

Does enrolling in the Paperless Billing Statement affect your connection? The way I see it, the ISP's just doing cost-cutting. Going paperless is a good cause for me because it's one way of conserving trees. However, your internet connection is a different story. If you're getting intermittent connection, you may want to inform your ISP support team about your issue. They may be able to do something about it. I dunno the turn around time for that but you can always bug them if you want. Switching ISP can also be an option if your current ISP connection is really intermittent. Happy myLotting! :)

Yes. In fact, my internet service provider is also doing the same. So I enrolled in the Paperless Billing. I think what ever happens with your internet connection will not matter. You will still received their billing statement via your email account. I think it is so cool since we are helping the environment and that it will not charge on our account.

ahhhh.... I like this online transaction. because if a person needs to transact the person doesn't need to go agency and line in long queue. No money that could tempt the person to become corrupt because there is no money shown instead money is directly received by the agency.
