gun violence? A lot of it is already covered by laws that are on the books...Total waste of time. However, his 4 executive orders which he has not enlightened us with yet regarding more intense background checks is going to be a problem...It sounds like he is going to make all of this information available to EVERYONE in the government and the police. More scare tactics and control of folks... He wants mental health checks too...They have been trying to do this to veterans for a long time...I guess it will happen now. He plans on putting training in place for teachers, school officials and first responders on how to respond to shooter situations...I thought that all this other crap was to prevent "situations". Everyone knows of course that no gun ban will prevent criminals and killers from getting guns...His kids go to a hoity toity school where there are armed guards...Our kids have to just learn how to deal with it. Most of the obamderthal's strictures basically take this out of the state's hands and put it into his cronies hands...So, once again state's rights disappear. And bureaucracy will grow even more...and more...and more...

I haven't had a chance to dig into it yet. I did watch his speech in which he said little to nothing except blaming a certain news media for something or other. This is a bad situation and I'm afraid it's going to get a lot worse.

I see a bright light in that many states and sheriffs have said they will refuse to follow any mandates that go against the second amendment. A sheriff in the county over from here was on the news last night saying that. Obama might have bitten off more than he can chew this time.

Peavey, no one has to follow the unconstitutional laws now being proposed by the congress. Remember, we are a Republic not a democracy. We are bound by our constitution. If a law is passed that breaks its tenets then it is an illegal law.

Of course it's an illegal law. That won't stop them from arresting those who actively oppose it though. I'm not sure we live in a republic any more.

I wonder how he is going to get the teachers, school officials, and first responders to respond to evil shooters. Probably will tell them to raise their hands and say, "please don't kill us."

Have you ever noticed that the kids all like their school janitors? I think it would be good to hire retired policemen to do just what you said...
