A 46 year old woman had already died after spending 31 years in comatose. And I know I should be sad and upset about this. But apparently, I felt relieved about it. Because I knew that her sufferings had come to an end. And I guess that's what also her family is thinking about. :)

Wow...31 years in coma. That is a long time to be in coma. All those years that have passed. I would never want to be in coma that long. I've already told my husband. If it looks like nothing is letting up, then just let me go. I'm sure her family was relieved that she finally decided to let go too. Poor family now they can finally move on.

If I am one of her family, I would be happy because she no longer suffer. It's very hard to accept and witness one of your family sleeping without the hope to awake on of those days. Although, it's hurt to all of us but in other side we will be thankful.

Who could afford to keep someone in a Coma like state for 31 yrs? I know if it was me, I would be asking questions, and it would be a relief after all this time, and she definately is in a better state. I cannot imagine having to deal with something like this for so long.

31 years of coma... phew. It must have been really hard for the family... Having a really-really-really faint light of hope, yet knowing their beloved is vegetating... at least she stopped suffering... poor thing and poor family...

It's a very sad story but your right. Her sufferings had come to an end and her family might be grieving right now but sooner they will realize it all for the good of the whole family.

31 is a very long time for someone to be in coma. It certainly is difficult for her family to maintain this long and hold on to the hope that she can recover from her long sleep. It is rather a sad thought seeing someone leaving you but when things like this happens there is also a sense of relief knowing that finally she is released from the suffering of not being able to enjoy life and is better off on there.

She probably never noticed it,because what seemed like eternity for a family was for her just a moment in time. So it is her family's suffering that ended, but I admire their faith in hoping that she would awake.

31 years is way too long for a suffering. It's sad but on the other hand also give everyone rest. She finally had rested as well as her family who took care of her for 31 years without a miss. That's a great love from her family and she is lucky.

I feel the same way as you do. But how do you think did the family cope up with all those years? I mean they are seeing her for the last 31 years in coma. Were they rich that they were able to sustain her in that state?

I never heard like that before. Well, I am happy for her too because finally she get rest. Thirty one years is a great suffering for her and God is still good that he ended her suffering. Maybe the family is not that so sad for what had happened to her instead they will be relieved.

Her condition is so hard beeing in coma for 31 years.. it must have been hard for the family.. maybe they are all praying for her to recover so it lasted for many years and now she is gone I think her family are now more at peace and relieved that her hardships finally come to an end thoug it is a sad news for the family they should look at it in a positive way thinking that their loveone is now in a peaceful place..

31 years of suffering is too much for that woman. She should be let gone earlier to decrease her suffering. That was a long wait for her family too. But finally her soul is free and may rest in peace.

31? She was 15 when she went into a coma? That's way too much. They should have let her go a long time ago.
