What is Obama doing?

A friend of mine told me that $29 was missing out of his already tiny paycheck. He then said that it was because of something Obama had passed. I don't get a paycheck since I am self-employed, but apparently a lot of people knew that this was going to happen. What is going on?

Yes, the checks have gotten a lot smaller. It is so hard to make ends meet since all the new deductions and makes me wonder what is going to happen from here. It is amazing how he thinks raising taxes and giving everyone less is going to help solve things more to where someone can survive.

I'm wondering where things are going, too. I think that Obama is now trying to meet the Republicans part way. Although he won the election, it was a close enough race that he had to notice how many folks weren't exactly happy with things that he did. So he's trying to compromise now. I don't know where people are going to land.

I think a tax-decrease that started last year just expired.

Obama, back then, raised taxes on the rich like he said he would do. Oops. Looks like he got that wrong, because he HAD to raise everyone's taxes.
Just like Biden is going to do. Just thought I would respond to this old post for historical context to remind people that when politicians say they are only going to tax the rich...
