it is, for real, random. Only so many tickets are winners, and the odds are against you. Best thing is not to spend all your money on them. I used to buy a lot of them, but then stopped. When I started back up, it was more cautiously, only buying one or two here and there. If you are going to win, it will be with one ticket - not one hundred. There's no guarantee that one stack of scratch off tickets will have a huge winner, either. I knew someone who was a real gambler with these things. One day, he bought twenty five dollar tickets in a row - thinking one of them would be a big winner and he'd get his money back at least. Let's see - he spent one hundred dollars on twenty tickets. One ticket was a five dollar winner - another fifteen - and two others were five dollar winners. He lost a total of seventy bucks. I like the bingo and crossword tickets because at least they have time consuming games to play for the money. Several weeks ago, I started buying one two dollar bingo scratchoff each morning when I would get my coffee and donut for breakfast. I'd scratch if off on the way back home. Usually, it was a losing ticket. Sometimes, I'd get my money back, or win four or five or ten dollars. Then, right before Christmas, I won 270.00!! I didn't think it was possible to win big any more. I buy one or two five dollar tickets a week now. Most times they are losers. But once, I won 150, twice I won 75, and I won 100 and then a few 50 winners. As long as I don't spend more than 10 bucks each week, I'm not losing a fortune if they don't win. If they do, I've got a nice little sum. But most likely it's all spend back again when I go for weeks with no winners. Let's face it - if everyone was a big winner - the lottery would break the bank and there'd be no money to pay anyone!

This is another game of chance. I myself don't have much luck with this. I think when we play these types of games - scratch cards, lottery, and stuff - we should have a mindset that the odds of winning isn't big, and that we play it just for the thrill of it.

If I knew the answer to this question, I could help myself. When I buy tickets, I win my money back or a free ticket. My husband, he'll win up to hundreds of dollars.
