Today, as usual I went straight to my part - time after the daytime job. And it is always busy at Friday night, and there were a lot of to - go orders over the phone. I was trying to do my best, and avoid this hateful manager gonna pick on any of us. Unfortunately, she picked on me today, and scold me on not suppose to take another to - go order if I knew the kitchen is super busy with other customers' orders. While I work my as* off, she was doing nothing, and socializing with other customers. I got really pis*, because at the end of the day, I have to share my tips with her too. I just felt anger at the moment after she criticized me. I thought about quit and curse out loud in front of her face. Then my another co - worker come around and told me to calm down. When I sit down and thought about it, I just can't quit right now, I need that money to help me pay off some debts too. I just have to patient, and hopefully one day, I won't go for the final route to make a big scene there.

Think it over never treat yourself as a co-equal with the manager in performing a job. To perform your job it was your assignment and for him to do socializing with his customer is another job usually done by managers for it is a form of advertizement, to win customer support and for them to come back for more. Yeah it's better for you to think of something that will encourage you to perform your job and for sure you will be on the right track.

If nothing else, you will have developed more toughness and character while this manager is still a fool!

There will always be a person like this in any work place and I will say that you do have to rise above it. I use to work and have now become ill so that I can not work. When I was working I use to think half way through the shift just a few more hours then back to normal life again, that is the way I use to get through one of my jobs. Think money and think of what plans you have for the money, as that is one sure way to stop you from quitting.

I knwo this feeling, I had it at my old job. Managers like that just make you hate your job, I know you need the moneu. I think you should look for another job while you sitll have this one. I did that, and got out right away, but didn't affect me financially.

I'm sorry you're not enjoying your job because you're overworked and your manager treats you badly... that's really bad luck. If you didn't need the money I'd tell you to quit, life is too short. But if you need the money then you're right to stick at it... once you're in a better situation you can leave and find something better, or perhaps not need a part time job. Good luck kingparker, I hope it all works out for you.

We all go through these types of stress but what's important here is to keep your cool and remember why you're working in the first place. I know it's not really good to tolerate such a treatment, but until she goes physical or overboard - beggars are never choosers. So, breathe deep and remind yourself that you need money. But if she's gone too far and you're almost at the end of the debt, then feel free to give her a piece of your mind! I would! Whew! Have a great mylot experience ahead!

This manager of yours sure sounds annoying. I would hate to be around this person too. But since you need the money, you need to hang in there and be patient. Don't let this pig get to you.

Hi kingparker! We all get tired sometime. And what is worst is when our boss are making things harder for us. Just be patient. Take a break if you can. Have a nice day!

No matter where we work, there will always be that one person who seems to get so much happiness out of pissing us. This person may come in the form of another co-worker or our own manager. As long as you're doing your job and you are not violating any company regulations then they can b____ all they want. Just let it all out of the other ear, we will be on the losing end if we let them get to us.

I think you should keep yourself calm and composed and keep the job continued and start searching for a new job side by side. As soon as you find a new job, just quit this one.
