I wonder why my sister is screaming mad one day ago. I found out she passed the UPCAT test and can enroll in UP. I really want her to experience studying in University of the Philippines because I don't know it's one of the best government school isn't it? I am happy for her because I really help her in her studies, when she was in Preschool I want her to start to read fast as early as 4 years old and it pays a lot. I remember because of that advantage, she amazed the teachers that a grade one pupil can really do good in a history contest with lots of memorization when in reality most children are just beginning to read and write at that age but she can memorize like a grade 4 student. It's good that she have fun in studies without too much difficulty and she passed a difficult entrance test.

Congratulations to your sister! I passed the UPCAT too! ;-) But I already graduated last 2010 :D I attended UP both high school and college. You should really be proud of your sister, and of yourself as well because you have guided her all throughout her school life! Kudos! :D

That's great. Yes, I have guided her and I am happy for her even though I did not experience what she will have now.

I have friends whose kids also passed the UPCAT. And there are of course very proud of their kids. Passing in one of the prestigious schools and not having to spend a lot is what makes their parents happy.

Yes, that's what we like, we cannot afford an expensive college for her and it is one of the best choice around.

I think it is a good job done by your sister. I think it is always good to study education and to pass the tests. Most probably education helps to improve the career and job opportunities also.

It really is wonderful to hear that your sister has done really well with her college entrance exams and that she is going to be able to go to the school that she really wants to be able to go to. I do think that when we are getting ready to start our college studies that it is important that we attend a school where we believe that we will be happy with the education that we are going to be getting. I hope that she has a wonderful and successful college career.

Well, people are always happy when they got what they want. I am in struggling to get what I want in my life too. Hopefully I will achieve it with all my hard work. Sometimes, it is not all that we expected at the end. I am glad that your sister get what she wants, and hopefully she can start a new page in her life.

I don't know but my youngest sister seems to get everything she wants. She is the luckiest among the 4 of us. Sometimes we just need to accept that there are lucky people and not so lucky people but life is full of surprises, one day life will be much better for us.

You must be very proud of your sister. Passing the UPCAT is not as easy as some people think. And also, most students dream of going to UP because of the cheap tuition but high quality education. I never had the chance to take UPCAT back then, I guess I was not that confident. By the way, in what campus is she going in? Diliman, Los Baños, where? Congratulations to your sister and to you as well!

It's not easy because I guess they also consider your grade at school and other factors. I also did not attempt to take a test there I just look for the nearest college. It's Diliman.

I am happy for your sister! It is hard to pass the entrance test at UP, really. That is why there are UPCAT review centers. What I think is that entrance exams in colleges or universities are just for assessment of the incoming student but, ofcourse, there are rules that we don't know. My son is incoming college freshman too. I hope he will pass and enter CLSU which he just had taken entrance test.

It’s lucky that you have such a smart sister. And I’m happy for you to hear your sister has passed UPCAT test and can attend a prestigious school, and since it’s government school, I bet you don’t have to spend a lot to attend one. Double lucky for you. I bet your sister will have a bright future ahead of her and it’s a great chance for her to improve the chance to get good job opportunities in the future.
