iPad 128G, don't we need that much memory?

I had an ipad 2, with 32G memory, and that is more than enough for me, since I don't listen too much music with it. Although I listen music and play some games with it, I won't need 128G though. I got a computer with 1TB hard drive in it already, and I don't need more a handheld device to be that large, and the price can be as high as $789. With that price I can get a desktop or a good laptop computer too. So, ask yourself, would an ipad 128G really useful for you?

I think the price is getting lower and lower for memory cards and the capacity is getting higher and higher.

Wow great. I do not believe the memory card have gotten into 128 GB ones. I have heard only about the 32 GB memory card. I have only 8 GB pendrive for my use. I think most probably it is good to have big size hard disk so that one can store all the things one needed.

games, pics, music and movies. It depends on the user. I usually needs at least 100 GB of space for my movies and music alone as they are of high quality and the movies are all in HD which is at least 10GB per 40 min to 60 min

I think the new iPad 128 gig is mainly aimed at schools and business. I think it is a good idea for those purposes. But I am sure lots of people are going to trade up. I currently have the new iPad with the retina display and 64 gigs. Thats enough for me. When I need to get another one I will. But not now.

128 GB on the go memory storage for a handheld device is something I would love to have on my devices. But there are 3 bad things about this especially since its an iPad. 1)Its an Apple product and can't be afforded 2)You can't exactly use it as a portable data storage device 3)Any person with brains would rather buy a PC or a laptop Even after this being told, if somebody buys it, they are filthy rich and don't know what to do with their money or they have to consult a psychologist

I like The New Ipad (3) but there will be another one and if that is the one you referring to I dont need it . I think that one is just not for me , I have two phones with lots of memory , Ipad 3 , Laptop and desktop all up to date . Maybe it would be ok for someone that never had an Ipad .

Depends on the user of the ipad. It he is a gamer or saves a lot of music or files then basically then he can use this without hesitation.

I have been looking into buying an iPad, but I don't think I really need 128GB on it, unless it rean serious apps, but even then, that is why I have my laptop. I just went through the painstaking trouble of upgrading two hard drives in it giving me 1.25TB of space (one is a 500GB, and the other is 750GB). I have a lot of music, movies, and design programs, and these eat up space quickly. If I could, I would want that in my iPhone so I can carry more music on me, but as it stands, I would just go for a 64GB iPad. That is fine for me.

I personally don't think I would need it. I have been looking into an iPad more for when I am pet sitting, or out at work, and want to MyLot.

maybe i think 128Gb is only enough for me.. i had an ipad 2 also 32Gb, with a lot of application, music, and games. but it still not enough. the games and applications of my ipad ate 25.7Gb of its memory while 2Gb is the system memory, the songs is 500= 4Gb total of 31.7Gb. there is no video on it. =( its sad. some of the games of ipad consumes 1-2Gb therefore it consumes a lot of memory if you load many games on it .you can download all the games of IOS device for FREE if you jailbreak it. how about in the next days? how often they release a game or application in 1 week? i dont want to delete any files in my ipad so 32Gb is really not enough for me.

If you love watching films, 128G memory is not too much as you think it is. Many high quality films need more than 1G memory so ipad with 128G memory i think is not too much at all if you find it necessary. Mine is 32G memory as welll. Though sometimes i can not put too many films in it at a time, it is enough. By the way, if i could get one with 128G memory, it could also be useful. I think what i need to do is just put more films in it.

More memory is always good. The reason for always having more memory than what u may think u need is that u have room for expansion. The Internet and especially apple is continuously expanding and updating therefore takes up more memory. U may decide in the future to download music, movies, games, etc to ur iPad or any other device. It is always good to have your systems backed up on more than one device so that if one crashes you won't lose your life pictures etc. do you have all your information backed up on more than one device?
