Update on my condition

Hi everyone! Sorry to fall so far behind on updating people on what is going on with me. I'm not sure when the last time I got in here was, but I've had some recent issues. I finished with chemo about two weeks ago or so and I thought I was going to be free. But I had a spot on my belly that was getting red and it hurt whenever my cat would step on it. I showed it to my doctor when I had my last appointment with her and she thought it might be infected and put me on antibiotics. She told me if it didn't clear up soon that I should go back. I was in the area the following Monday and she actually cut into it and instead of being pus, it was a solid mass. She took a biopsy and I got the results back yesterday. It was another cancer. She will be taking it out on the 21st but I don't know what will be happening after that. I will be taking it one day at a time. That is the only way to approach this. I hope everyone is doing well!

Dearest Debbie! Don`t we hate our awful and powerful enemy! I am living with a sort of freedom for 2 months and a half and then I get my monoclonal antibodies treatment. Let us try to live as well as we can one day at a time. Really, no human being has more than the present. But we can make the most of it. A big hug. Keep me posted.

I can't believe I waited so long to reply to this! I finished one chemo regimen and it appeared to be clear...or at least stable...in January, but then the numbers started going up again immediately. My cat stepped on my belly and a spot there started turning red and got that checked out. My doctor looked at it on Jan 30 and by Monday there was no improvement so she did a biopsy on it and it was the same cancer as I have been fighting for two years. Since it was on the surface she did surgery on it a week later. I started on another chemo regimen two weeks later and it is weekly. I will give more info when I have time and am caught up on emails a little more. Have a great week!

Wow my friend. So Sorry to hear this. I will continue to lift you up in thought and Prayer and hope they can eventually get all of this to where you can lead a more active life once again. Just remember there are times we go thru things we may not always understand, and things do happen for a reason. Please keep us updated as you can, as we miss hearing from you.

Thanks for the response! I hope that I am able to get this out of my hair, but I was told from day one that once recurrences start, they tend to be chronic and I am finding that to be the case. I do not let it stop me, but it does slow me down at times, especially now when the pain from the weekly taxol treatment starts. I probably won't lose my hair this time because I get 1/3 the amount each week than I was getting before when they did a treatment once every three weeks so it is not as toxic but it does still cause the pain. I got some acupuncture today so hopefully that will keep the pain at bay this week. The last couple of times I got it done it was after the pain started so it was not as effective. Have a great week!!!

I'm sure that if you went into my profile you could see all the posts I have made over the last five years or so. There has been a lot more downtime than active posting time in there, but as you can see from the numbers behind my username I have a lot of posts made. I started discussing this topic over two years ago when this recurrence (or set of recurrences) started. Thanks for you comments and have a great week!!!

It is really a bad news for you. But even though, did you test it with more reliable laboratory. Many times it is proved that first diagnosis was wrong. Get a test report from a well known laboratory and be sure about it. I pray to Almighty for your soon recovery and healthy life.
