I saw a cable a show once called Bizarre Eats from around the world. Now this episode was about foods from i believe Brazil. What they were talking about on the show is deer tartar( cooked just a bit but nearly raw) and some kind of tree bark. Now some people in that part of the world may like that kind of stuff but i do not. It sounds so disgusting, but as the saying goes don't knock til you try it. Tho i'm not sure i could try that kind of stuff to eat could or would you?

I found a recipe for Venison Tartare. If you like raw meat this sounds good. It is ground venison meat seasoned with gherkins, capers, parsley, shallots, anchovies, Worcescershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, ketchup, olive oil and salt. I don't eat raw meat, so this is not for me. Sorry.

I don't think raw meat is for me. i don't think i could stomach it at all. I just sounds disgusting but to each their own. i'm such a picky eater anyway that i wouldn't eat it. Also i am leery of trying new foods so no raw meat for me.

I am the kind of person who is not afraid to taste new food. But I guess, I would certainly pass on trying real weird kind of food. But if a person is really starving, like in some places in our country, I think they could really practically eat anything.

saw on the news here once in my area a restaurant that was serving cricket tacos. Now i am not hungry enough to eat deer tartar tree bark or cricket tacos. Tho like you said jenny if i was starving id eat pretty much anything. i wouldn't matter how gross or disgusting it is i'd eat it to live. I am not that interested or fond of trying new foods tho but if i was starving i would.

That doesn't sound so bad. The one that really got me was on Amazing Race in Korea with the chopped up Octopus that was still moving. I really draw the line when it's still moving.

While there are some foods that I've heard of from around the world that I don't think that I would ever be able to put in my mouth, I'm really not the kind of person that will knock it until I've tried it. For example, I used to think that I would never be able to eat escargot because it just seemed disgusting to me. However, when I traveled to Europe I had the opportunity to try it and I have to say that I actually did find it to be pretty good.

Hi, Half cooked meat is the rave here, having no deer around, we go for what is common, the pig. Pork, for that matter, is not acceptable to most taste, having high cholesterol that can do a lot of bad things to the body. Deer meat, although I haven't tried it yet, is good meat in my reckoning, the nearest I can relate is goat meat here which is in demand for everybody eat it without guilt feelings. I don't usually eat half cooked meat, leery of the parasites that may go with it, but sometimes, I would take a bite for I like its taste.

I have seen that show before and I would not eat much of the food that the host eats. I thin it is all disgusting. If it's deer then it's not as bizarre as we think, but tartar? What is that?

Nailtech tartar is when the meat is barely cooked and almost raw.

I have seen this show before, some of the items sound delicious, or look delicious. But then some just want to puke over it. I don't think I could eat this.

I am not really into exotic foods. I like my veggies, fish, pork, beef and chicken. I just don't have the stomach and the guts for it, I guess. And I don't even want to try. I am squeamish I admit. It is not difficult to feed me but of course normal food should be the way to go.
