In the last month had to cut my hours at work because just couldn't handle it anymore. It takes it's toll on you after a while and the mental/physical exhaustion starts to mess with your mind. I hope this doesn't last forever for you. Read in here about exercise before starting the day and even though I'm tired it has helped. I have more energy then did before and it just has this way of balancing out my mind and my body. If that doesn't work there is always a long hot bath with bath salts and candles.

I feel the same, I feel that there is no light at the end of the tunnel and things just seem to be getting worse not better. The government doesn't seem to know what to do. We have mass unemployment in this country with people getting laid off work on a daily basis, what hope is there? Companies know this and some will put more pressure on their employees knowing that have no choice but to work, it seems we are just working to keep alive nowadays.

Spa Room - You should have a try if you have not. The experience is beyond words.
My entire family is in Phuket, Thailand on vacation for the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) celebration. Just woke up with breakfast served into our hotel room and on my bed, too. Husband is playing a round of golf since dawn and should be back by lunch time (1 p.m.) while the children are sunbathing by the poolside with their iPad, of course. As for me, I will be heading for the spa (picture attached) again to have a body wrap and massage. I am sorry to hear about your back and I hope that you are taking care of it. For starters, you should avoid having too much salt in your food. Boiled some water and cook it with a handful of minced ginger to relieve your aches and pain (4 cups per day). Before going to bed, soak your feet in a basin of hot water (you may add essential oils or a cap of Dettol disinfectant) and place of hot towel on your back changing every 2 minutes. The world's crisis will end but it is during these times that you need to take care of yourself all the more.

Life really ain't easy. And I am just thankful that we have my parents and in laws to help us with taking care of our children's needs, and we have our own house to live. But of course, we also do something to make it even better for the whole family. It is hard alright, but we need to just go with the flow.

My day isn't too bad. It's got its moments. I managed to accomplish the tasks that I have listed on my to-do list. But not all of it brought me the expected results. I have to redo some of it again at a more convenient time. I hate it when it happens, like I have moved 2 steps forward and 1 step back.

Unfortunately, it is only going to get worse. Obamderthalcare is going to just keep destroying our economy...Businesses are going to keep cutting workers hours to get out of paying for it and laying others off so that they can hire more part time workers. Most people are under employed as far as wages go, but are doing the work of several people because of layoffs and budget cuts...

I definitely know what you mean, I've been working two jobs at around fifty to sixty plus hours a week and it takes it's toll on me. On my days where I work doubles I often end up putting in ten hour plus days. My paychecks are pretty good but the amount of hours I have to work to make that much money really isn't. I work really hard and definitely feel like I deserve a higher amount of pay it's too bad that most bosses out there are complete cheapskates nowadays. Yesterday I had to put stock away at my one job and it definitely hurt my back. It always does I have to move around boxes that are around thirty five pounds and lift them over my head to stack them up. The owner of my restaurant job seems to have no consideration for the fact that how much stock he orders causes me and my coworkers to have to really strain ourselves to be able to find room to put the stuff away. Not only that but the managers and the owner himself really like to treat their employees like crap and complain about things that are incredibly stupid. Working has definitely been doing a number on me but I've been trying to stay focused so that way I can keep going. All I have to do is make it to the end of the summer than I will be moving and hopefully I will be able to find a better job opportunity when I move.

Hiya shante, True that work is getting much more stressful than before and people are having to work more hours less money. Spain where we are is in a very bad state at the moment on the same level as Greece so much so that they try to support each other with ideas and friendship and all sorts of things going on. One upside to all the down sides of what is going on here and all over the world. Wish I had a magic wand and make it all vanish poof that´s it all woes and miseries gone but that is not so but I wish it was. Very hard for me to find a job at all even though I want to work so that does stress me out sometimes if I let it. As I said people in some areas are becoming closer and collaborating with each other to make life a bit easier.xxx

I can identify with your stressful day. Lately, it seems that my days are so filled with stress that a break from that would be very welcome. All ou can do is to take each day ata time and get through the trials and try to find some comfort in between. Every day does not have to be one of stress, but it would be nice to have fewer stress filled days.

good day to you shante2, it do really happens at times, when your employer only gives a small compensation. that you are being underpaid versus to the work responsibility that you are doing. as a result, you are just ignoring your weariness since earning is an important thing. hence, the stress that you feel was almost the same here at my end. and because of this, i am really working double time to earn and cope up on expenses. anyway, just prolong your patience and have more faith, as i believed, God supply all our needs, according to His riches and glory.

Sorry to hear that your day was rough. My day yesterday was alright. I had a lot of cleaning and organizing to do. And my daughter and I were able to go outside since it was nice out. We really enjoyed that. Then I had to go to work later in the evening. But it was a pretty calm day. I completely agree with you about working so hard and only making a little pay.It is sad that this is the way things are. I hope it all ends soon too. I'm hoping to start going to college this fall so perhaps that will make me feel a little better.

I'm sorry to hear about that. We all have times when we feel we wanna give up on working for meager pay. I just have to think about all the positives despite the stress that's bringing me down from too much work. We can only hope that things will get better but know also that we can't always depend on the government to do things for us.

It is ok to kill yourself in working but please don't do that forever..Do not be contented of what you have now and just accept it for the sake of the world crisis.. Actually I can relate with you, my work is also stressfull and I think that is normal when we are working in a private company..But we cannot stop working because we have to survive by all means, we tried not to be affected by the pressure and stress out of it. But I know in myself that my work is not forever, I am aware of the reality that nothing is permanent in private company, and one more thing I have no plans of spending my whole life in the stressful life. So I decided to pursue postgraduate course that possibly give more opportunity to work in the government. I never stop studying and adding credits to my qualifications. I tried to find time to go to school after office hours, its kinda hard but very fulfilling..and now I already finished my post grad studies and I just recently pass the Board exam. I am happy and excited to move on for better job and I am working on it..I am looking forward for a better and secured job. Hope you can do something also to change your career to a better one. Happy Heart's Day to you!
