lacson is gay, santiago is mentally ill

believe me i'm a supporter of miriam defensor santiago. i really think she's an intelligent person and i love seeing her funny side with other pick-up lines. but recently i've been quite disturbed with by her actions. i bet you've heard about her word war with ping lacson because he accused her of using government funds in renting an extension of her office in a place she owns. i feel like she should have just explained her side but she opted to threaten the she will expose lacson's true sexuality. bu i just think this issue about misuse of senate funds has become personal that it's quite embarrassing to see "intelligent" people slinging mud at each other's faces. and with the lady senator's dispute with hr colleagues, a lot of people are saying she's going insane. remember she had issues about her mental condition when she said she would jump out of a helicopter if erap would be imprisoned. and when that happened and she was interviewed, she said "i lied" and then laughed like a witch.

The woman is insanely intelligent since College! My mom's best friend was Sen. Santiago's cousin. They were all studying in the University of the Philippines. And my mom told me that Miriam didn't make too much friends coz of her "weird' ways, well, at least she got all flat 1.0's in her grades! I think that her intelligence has gotten her too much trouble in the past. Her being a lawyer has made her a bit more 'cucko' I guess. I used to admire her coz of what she has achieved. But then I realized that being that crazy as she is, she can twist a lot of truth sometimes.

i saw her life story in maalaala mo kaya. she tried to gain acceptance from her mom who's a teacher. being second is not an option and sometimes being first is not yet satisfactory. i guess that's why she's like that.

Well, that must be the reason behind it. She always wanted excellence in everything that she does to the extent of sometimes having outrageous comments/decisions.

well, i think it greatly influenced her to be always at her best in everything she does. and most of the time, people don't understand that.

Hi, I don't care if they are gay or crazy as long as they make good in their affairs in the government office. What gives me the creeps is that if they are in some place, like in a control room of an atomic bomb, one push of a button and we are all doomed. The way I see it, they may be in a critical position to influence the course of history but at least, we are still here to look over their shoulders and be ready to act on it if necessary. Times like this calls for vigilance and exercise proper judgement in order to mitigate potential damage that may happen.

i wish it will never go worse. i feel like the country has a lot of problems and discussions about personal ego and prime would be such a waste of government money and time.

Let us just say that she has high IQ but very low EQ. I think her intelligence cannot be questioned since she knows what she is talking about when it comes to law and legislation. But I think when it comes to personal matters he fails to behave and sometimes it doesn't show in her emotional quotient at all.

Yeah I guess what she really needs is to control her temper and have more patience since not everyone around her is as high as her IQ is. Anger management is perhaps the she needs to take so that it would not backfire on her health. I think the reason why she is having this stroke and high blood incidence is that she could not contain her emotions on everything around her.

yes, i love her and i think the government would be boring without her. i think she just have to do some anger management seminars so she could control her temper.

i guess that's really her weakness. remember she has had incidents where she almost had stroke because she was so mad at one person.

we'll never know. maybe with her intelligence, she could have done some really interesting things to our country.

my parents were also for miriam in the 1992 presidential elections. they believe she was cheated. i wonder what would have happened to our country if she was declared the winner.

I am also a fan of Sen. Santiago. But this time again, i think she has gone overboard. Just as you said, she could just have denied or confirmed it not threaten Lacson like that. Doing that, i am thinking that Lacson's accusation could have been true, because she wants him to stop by threatening him. I think she's in the verge of insanity for being so intelligent and talkative.

I used to like her very much. I even voted for her during her Presidency. But she turned out different specially during the impeachment trial. Although maybe she's like that even before it was just revealed because of the media really on it. Now, I don't like her... she's just too much last time and even now.

i'm sorry but i really think the corona impeachment is of political reasons. and i loved when she stood out there and fought the aquino administration who's obviously after vengeance.

Very nice title. It seems that philippine politics has because a circus already. Everyone has their own share of negative personality and lifestyle. Yet in the end no one is being punished.they just wanted the people to see them to make it look that they are doingtheir work in the senate and yet they are not.

I used to like her then but with the way she is reacting to issues concerning her or a party she is obviously siding with, has changed my view in her integrity and sincerity as a politician. She is very intelligent but it is not the real measure of proving the quality of service you could give to the people. It would have been more impressive if she has striven to apply her gift towards a more productive cause rather than in rhetoric either to put her object in an embarrassing situation or impress listeners with her eloquence.

so with other issues she was part of, the latest was another impeachment case involving the highest official in another branch of our government.

I think Sen. Miriam D Santiago knows what she's doing. Like you said, she's an intelligent person, I believe she is, she could have not made it to the International Criminal court if she was not. Maybe, a lot of people don't understand or simply do not like what she's doing in the senate, but let's admit it, the Senate will never be the same without her.
• Philippines

yes, without her, senate would be boring. if she goes to switzerland for the icc, i'm sure a lot of people will miss her, even those who hate her.

Miriam is indeed a smart person and someone you would not want to mess up with. My teacher in theology happened to be her classmate in college in indeed, miriam really do have some bad sides.

Hi there ! Santiago have a very high IQ , remember she is a master of International Law . No she is not insane , she is just having an oozing self confidence because she is having an overload of wisdom and intelligence. When she said she will jumped , we all knew that she was just joking. We sometimes misunderstood her because she speak so loud , so honest and frank. She speak her mind but always with a supporting facts. She has a dignity and integrity as a Filipino.

well, that's what makes people irk about her. she just knows everything and other people thinks she's arrogant and sometimes crazy.
