i did verify if we forgot to pay for last month bill for our water connection

Since we didn't want to pay more than what is needed and we can't find any bill of last month. So i just called their hotline and confirmed we had not made any payment last month. So we have to pay for two months of water bill amounting to $32. That's quite a lot. It's quite expensive because of the second charge for modernizing our water system in the city. The company have to recover their losses and investment in all the major repairs they had done many years back. So we have strong water supply.

Wow that is quite huge.... But of course you have to pay it since you failed to pay last months bill. I just hope they would not disconnect you for failing to pay last month. Anyway this utility companies seldom do that except when you are obviously not paying long.

How much is your water bill monthly. Are you under maynilad owned by the lopezes or under manila water system under the ayala group of companies. Ours is the latter. I don't know if the former has less water charges

Am with the Manila Water under the Ayala Group. Well since we are just three in the household our consumption is just small about $3-5 per month only. 
From what I know the Lopezes are not in control of Maynilad as they have sold their shares in it so for now they are not involved in any of Maynilad anymore.

I hope they improve their billing system, especially the part where they send the statement to their customers. Should the billing did not get in time, I hope they do not impose additional charges for overdue bills that are not the fault of the customers. I know that they will say that it is still our responsibility to pay for it, but how would we even know what to pay? Now, if they can email the statements as well, then that's another thing altogether.

I don't know how the billing system in maynilad as in manila water system they have this small printer that their employee bring with them so we can know the bill in real time.

It also happened to me one time when the bill did not come so we forget about it and the next month we was billed double with an additional charge. So in order to prevent this from happening again, I would always see to it to visit the water district every month even we received a bill or not.

Maybe we didn't get the bill last month either or no one home last month so we didn't receive the bill as they have someone hand the bill on the door.
