Im really scared on bladed objects like knife or anything the likes..I dont know when it started but I would feel something in my stomach everytime I think of it, it would just pop up in my mind. If Im using it for cooking or something Im afraid I would suddenly cut my fingers. Im scared also of our Ceiling fan that I just seldom use it. I cant be feeling comfortable when its blades(or what you call that) are rotating I feel it would just dislodged from our ceiling and land to my neck..Yes Im real weird. I feel scared also and almost want to puke ones I see or think of that jumping from a bridge with strings on your legs(I dont remember the term, it sounds like bejumpy..?whatever..) But what i really hate most is Im avoiding those but it will just come in my mind and with just thinking of those things Im scaring of makes me ill...

Its not actually a phobia exactly but yes I am scared of crossing the roads where traffic is heavy and I have to cross the road all alone. Whenever I cross such a road I see if any other is crossing it and then I cross it behind that person. I always feel that I cannot do it alone or some vehicle will hit me. I also feel the same sort of feeling while deep frying something. It feels like I'll burn my hand or the hot oil will come at my hand. But I am trying to overcome these fears of mine by doing these things over and over again to get used to them.

I have a phobia of tarantulas and I'm scared of riding a motorcycle. Just imagining a tarantula makes me jumpy and makes my hair stand.

I have more phobias but one of them is that I cannot stand animal hair. I love pets and have a dog and a cat. But even if I love them a lot, I'm scared to see any hair in my house or on my clothes. That's why I try not to be in direct contact with my pets even if I would love to. I wear gloves for that! It's a bit strange, isn't it? I thought I might have a kind of allergy...

It;'s the roaches that makes me get all scared and crazy. It's really humiliating as I would act differently and uncomfortably at the sight of big roaches. It must be killed or else I wouldn't be able to sit comfortably or sleep well.

Yeah, I have a phobia of the tail of the lizard. I do not know every time I saw that tail wagging most especially when it is separated in the body of the lizard , I want to jump or run away from the tail. I thought it has its own life. I am also afraid of heights and like you to blades. I am not fond of watching so morbid movies.

Phobia - According to Wikipedia, phobia is a type of anxiety disorder, usually defined as a persistent fear of an object or situation in which the sufferer commits to great lengths in avoiding, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed, often being recognized as irrational
I am afraid of heights, and falling. But I always face these fear by trying roller coaster and extreme rides. It gives me chills but after that it gives me a sense of relief and I feel like my fear is fading away. I am also afraid of dummies, dolls and human-like non-living stuff. It gives me creeps whenever I get near with them especially if the place is quiet and I don't feel any human presence. Lastly, crocodiles scare me! I know they are scary creatures but I guess my dream of being eaten by one caused me to have this phobia. But even with these fears, I don't let them take away the happiness in me. So if I need to face them so I can get through of something, or so I can enjoy a field trip with family and/or friends, I'd be very willing to throw away these fears.

Well, we really cant overcome our fear if we wont fight it back its good for you to have courage to face your own fears. For me I just avoid triggering factors as much as possible.

I am afraid of snakes and spiders. I have had some nightmares about snakes and in one of those dreams I suddenly discovered a snake in my bed. I was very, very scared and I still remember the dream very clearly. I can look at a snake from a distance. I find it uncomfortable if there is snake in the room, but I can handle the situation if the snake in other end of the room - far away from me. I can't touch a snake and I definately can't hold a snake. A situation like the one in the dream where I suddenly discovered a snake where I don't expect it scares me the most. I would be really scared if I discovered a loose snake in my room. I feel the same way about spiders. If I find a spider in the house, and ask my husband to remove it, because I can't do it myself. I have nightmares about rooms where the walls are full huge spiders

I have a fear of heights, whenever I go up a ladder or stand on the rooftop, I feel like I'm being dragged down, maybe because of gravity or something but there is a certain feeling in me that really makes me feel like I'm being sucked towards the ground below. I have a fear of arachnids too like millipede, centipede, scorpions and spiders specially the big ones. Some experts say that in order to develop your ability to withstand these fears it is better to be exposed frequently in a small period of time so that your mind can have time to compensate to what you feel, and help you resolve that fear, more like desensitization.

I do trying to desensitize myself aside from doing things that are really cant be avoided like in cooking, I have to use knives to prepare. its really true you cant win the battle if you wont face it and fight back.

I am very afraid of heights, my stomach does flips whenever I go anywhere too high up. I cannot take it. It makes me sick too. I am also afraid of singing in front of people. It also makes me want to throw up when I think about it. Another one is hot surfaces, I am so scared of getting burnt for some reason. I have a hard time cooking sometimes because of my fear.

I could still remember my fear that very moment. Oh I love to sing. I would sing in front of our friends but would be very shy if there are other people around that I do not know or Im not closed with. Im also afraid to get burnt while cooking but not that intensed fear. I would still love to cook.

Currently, I have one fear i.e. stage fright. I don't know whether it comes in the category of phobia or not. But, this is the only significant fear I have. A faintest thought of me addressing the students, teachers, of my school sends me shiver throughout the body and cause me to perspire.

Its called Glossophobia, I used to have such fear when I was in my younger years and were still in school, but as I started to work and eventually landed a job abroad I gained self confidence and learned to interact with various people. I think of all my fears this is the easier one to overcome tho I wont say that I dont have anxiety at all to speak in front of many people but if we just believe on ourselves and know what we are doing and talking then we can be a little relax.

I have Mottephobia which is a fear of moths and butterflies. They just terrify me for some reason. I can't tell you exactly why though. If I see a butterfly, I will just scream and run. But if I see a moth then all Hell breaks loose, because it usually means it is indoors and I am somewhat trapped. I scream, cry and even vomit sometimes.

Wow! I know there are lots of types of phobia but I never thought its possible to fear such a lovely creature like butterfly. For me butterflies are messenger of good or bad news, If there will be a brown butterfly it means good news or money, but if its black its bad news.

I can get flutters around my stomach when I'm in a very high place, but it's not that big of a deal since I can still muster the courage to look down below. One thing though is I do get nervous when I'm in front of people and do some lecture or reporting, or on stage, now that scares me a lot. And I get all cold and sweaty on my hands.

I used to be scared of spiders, but they don't bother me so much now. I used to be scared of heights, and probably still am, but haven't been up anything high. I am also petrified of being thought mad when I make a weird suggestion, however, though I am not sure I believe it, because I have never really seriously felt that I have had a past life, but unless there was something that happened when you were very young, the best explanation for your fear of the blade actually being in your stomach is a past life one. I do think these ideas are completely mad, obviously, and no one should even consider that such a mad idea could have any basis in reality, however despite that it might be worth doing some research, as it sounds like such a real fear.

My greatest Phobia is only one thing - Snake . God i really hate snakes. My spirit as if leaves me when i see a snake. I can't even afford to look at it even in pictures , computers how much more seeing it in real..ahhhh i will really run. The hairs of my skin stands up when i see a snake ! One time i saw snake inside the house , i really ran fast calling a neighbor to catch or drove away the snake.Because of the nervous , i ran fast out without any slippers. I often ask this , why God created this creature..my it crawlsss..GRRRRRRR

I am afraid of heights. I cannot even ride in a common ferries wheel and whenever I am in 2nd floor (up) of the building, I really cannot look down because it seems like someone is pulling my feet down and feels like my heart is being crushed or something. Been like this since I fell down the guava tree during my childhood days.

Well when I was a child I really love it riding on a ferries wheel but as I aged I dont like it at all since many carnival rides related accidents already happened.
