What does work mean to you?

Primarily, I work to earn a living. But it makes a difference if we love our work. However, this is not about finding a work that we love. This is about how we learn to love our work. The odds of finding a perfect work is too little so we would definitely waste half of our life finding it. In such a case where you are lucky enough to find you ideal work, that's a bonus.

For me working is not all about money. Although, yes, we work because we need to earn in order to survive… eat, pay bills, live and all that. But most importantly, we need to work in order for us to prove our self-worth. If we aren’t working and just doing nothing – waiting for help always, we won’t feel happy and satisfied about ourselves.

I basically like my job - I am selfemployed, though, so I don't get benefits and I have to work pretty hard. However, it does have the flexible hours that I need in order to also be able to take care of my son when my husband is working.

hi, Everyone works for earning money which is necessary for our living. I am retired person. I am working on mylot, I am working as an adviser for one insurance company. I am also working for earning money and also I don't like to remain idle without doing anything. I want to work so long as my health permits me.

I think we all work for money, as we spend our time and energy for that. I love to be my boss and I do not like to work for any body, I wish that I will have my own office and also a luxary beauty salon.

Well, I work because is a way to get money and to feel fine with myself, and I can save money and realize some of my dreams like travel, meet new places, etc...

I love my job. I am very lucky to enjoy what I do for a living. I could make more money doing other things but not sure I would be this happy. I feel blessed for having a job that I enjoy going to every day.

Of course we all work for money basically, but there is a lot more to it than just money. Work, for me, is passion! We must be passionate of the work we do, otherwise we are just machines that do a designated work with the input of fuel (money). When we work, we must be fully involved in it and try and give our best. When we love doing something we don't get tired easily and don't feel bored too. But, appreciation for good work is also a key factor in keeping up our passion for the work.

before after graduating from college, I always think about look for a job so i could gain experience and save up for graduate school. Through time i get to enjoyed it that it became a part of my life, but something happened and i decided to leave and just focus on school. So job for me should be something you like and you enjoy, somewhere you can be at home with

Work for me is a means of making a living, being able to support our needs and wants. It is also a way for me to save for the future. It will also be my way to work on my profession and grow as a person as most life experiences can be gathered at the workplace, since that is where most of us spend most of our time everyday.

I do like my job because I get to help a lot of people around the world on their financial statement issues. I am working not just for money to buy things I want but also for self fulfillment, self worth, and prove to them that I am not just a "Filipina" :D Some people look down on me being an Asian/Filipina but when I already helped them with their FS problems, I am feeling fulfilled.

I work because I love my job and apart from that it gives me the financial independence. I do not need to ask anyone when I need something. Some times I feel like why am I doing this but whenever I get some extra leave I start feeling like Thank God my job is there otherwise the life would have been so boring and meaningless.

a work that you shared your energy and knowledge in return of small money that you spent for the living but if you not enjoy your job maybe sooner you will kick or retired from it...

This may seem idealistic, but I'd like to think that I work because it is my way of sharing a piece of myself to the rest of humanity. Yeah, we work so that we can pay the bills, splurge on our luxuries every now and then. And for most of us, work adds to our self-worth and defines us. But we also work so that we can share a piece of ourselves - and what we have (the stuff we know and the talents we possess)- to others. :)

Work for me is just a way for me to earn money to get the things that I mostly want in life. Right, I am not loving my job because it is not what I want.

I work for bread . it is well paid but it is so boring .I donnot like it at all .
