My 9 year old is cooking supper tonight. She is cooking chicken on the indoor grill and a side of veggies. I'm so spoiled today. When I was sick in the hospital a few weeks ago she also gave me some coupons for free massages from her. Think I'll use one of thos tonight too. I'm so lucky. She is a very good cook. She one first prise in a cooking contest she entered. All the kids were way older than her.

That's great! I started learning to cook when I was 8, but mostly made pasta dishes. Even now, i can't cook very well and my husband does most of the cooking.

It sounds like your daughter is one smart child. You are indeed lucky. Maybe she will do big things when she becomes an adult. When I was that age, I wasn't even allowed in the kitchen.

She sounds like a very good kid. You should be very proud of her. It is a good thing she is learning how to cook at an early age. she sounds like a good cook. My niece is 9 and she has cooked breakfast for her family before. I think this is very nice that your daughter can cook and is helping you out.

I'd be proud myself if I had a daughter like her. You sure are lucky to have her! Having a daughter is really different coz daughters tend to be more caring and of course domesticated so they get to help mom most of the time.

Wow, how cool is that! What a smart, nice girl. When I was her age, all I can cook is rice and not without using a rice cooker. Sometimes even using one, I still burn it. You are indeed lucky. But then you must have done a good job in raising her that's why.
