Noisy dog

I have a dog and he is very smart, adorable, cute but very noisy. I don't know what is his problem. He always bark at anyone and I think he doesn't remember us at all. I want to know how can we stop him to bark every time he see people.

Dogs bark for a lot of different reasons... sometimes as an alert or a warning, sometimes just because they can :) Does your dog get a lot of exercise? Do you walk him often and make sure that he's exercised until he is tired? A lot of times, a barking dog is trying to release stress and built-up energy. By giving him lots of exercise, he should become much calmer.

There are a whole bunch of reasons. Barking (or other sounds like growling, whining, etc.) are a dog's way of communicating with you. Some bark when they are bored or suffering from separation anxiety, others bark to try to let you know that there is something they want or need (like food or they need to go outside to do their business). Dogs may bark when they are stressed or anxious or they might bark due to a "trigger" like traffic passing by or seeing another animal, etc. They may be protective of their home, family, territory. Barking isn't always negative either... some bark (or make what some people call a "yip" sound) because they are happy and ready to play and they are trying to engage humans or other animals.

Some dogs/breeds are more prone to barking than others. However, dogs can be trained to be quiet. Dogs train best using positive reinforcement, so its best to praise and treat the dogs when he doesn't bark so he learns that is the behavior you want from him. You also should figure out what is causing the dog to bark and try to rectify the situation; dogs always have a reason they are barking. Dogs bark because they are lonely, lack of exercise, lack of confidence etc.

I think a doggy always does like that and he won't not bark when he is older. Don't worry about him much, with the time, his barking will be gone.

Do you think so? But what if not, what should I do?

How old is the dog? I have a 3 months old lab and he used to do the same thing. What I did is I invited a friend to come in and out of the room and everytime the dog barked I said quiet and gave him a little pull on the leash when he was quiet I gave him a trat. It took like a day and the dog understood that he must stop the noise

I have had several dogs that bark and i actually have one that doesn't. It also depends on their breed believe it or not. I have a border collie mixed with i think australian sheppard and she is the quietest thing ever. While my other dogs bark she just watches the other two patiently waiting. My other dogs are blue healers. They literally bark at the wind. And anything that moves. You can take it to training maybe thatll help. I know that if you don't give the dog enough exercise it barks to get your attention. But breed of the dog matters too. I dog sat an american bulldog. It only barked at strangers or when cars went by. I mean huskies don't bark. They whine. So i don't know whats worse barking or whining.
