Hello Tushavi! I don't really know much about planes or jets etc so I am not too sure. I just know that they wear headphones to help block out the noise inside the jet. But obviously people on the ground can hear planes and jets when they fly by. I remember one day probably over a year ago, I was standing in my loungeroom and I heard some loud noise and it was so very loud that I literally thought a plane was about to crash. So I freaked out and didn't know what to do haha I stood in the loungeroom for a bit and was so scared then I finally ran outside to see if something was coming down but turns out it was just a low flying jet. I didn't see it but I went on Facebook and people who live in my suburb all posted about the very loud jet and how it scared them and their dogs haha. So many dogs were barking when the jet went by. I just found it funny how scared I was thinking it was a plane coming down lol Happy MyLotting. ~AussieGal~

Pilots use headphones for radio communication. The sound inside a jet is muffled so you don't get the intense roar that you get outside a jet. I would think the people of Afghanistan would be too far away to be effected by the roar of jets.

I don't think that it would be the general voice that a fighter jet pilot has that is the reason that they are turned off on listening, but instead I would think that the reason that they are ignored fairly often probably has to do with the tone of voice that they use as they are doing a job that is full of adrenaline. The reason that I say this is that there are many situations that fighter jet pilots will eventually become commercial jet pilots after they have retired from the military.

I have never heard the roar of fighter planes. But I have read about it.The sound may deafen you if a fighter suddenly whizzes past above your head and becomes invisible within a fraction of a second. The thrust of its sound may have an utterly adverse impact on your hearing ability.I am fortunate not to have heard the sound generated by a fighter plane.

There are some that are used and built to be quiet but have power for war purposes.

Jet sounds are very high and have the ability to spoil the hearing power of a person. So i think your mother is right.

Why should we tolerate the sound of jet , it's as good as a Noise Pollution.
