I have always loved Mounds candy bars. When shopping for chocolate recently, I initially was looking for the store brand of peanut butter cups in the big bag. But then I realized it was milk chocolate, which I'm trying to get away from. Dark chocolate is healthier for you, supposedly. So I stopped and worked my way up and down the aisle, scanning labels for products with dark chocolate, then of those, the best value per ounce. What I came to find was that a pack of fun-size Mounds candy bars with dark chocolate was one of the best values of all the chocolate offerings. Pretty good news for a die-hard Mounds fan.

I am happy for you that after doing some research you found what you wanted. I too love chocolates and although my choice would also be dark chocolates I grab anything that I happen to see.

Hey all! I'm prone to everything from Hershey bars to peanut butter cups to M&Ms, but Mounds will always be my favorite.

I was introduced to Swiss chocolates and always thought they were the best until I got an opportunity to visit several countries and discovered the goodness of chocolates manufactured in these countries. I liked those that I got from Australia, Belgium,New Zealand, Italy, US and Germany. They all have their own richness.

A friend of mine was once married to a fellow of Belgian heritage. Somehow she got her hands on some Belgian chocolates. She said American chocolates were never the same for her after that.

I have not heard of Mounds to be honest my friend, maybe it's only exclusive to the USA. I actually prefer dark chocolate and you are right it is healthier for you, but obviously in moderation. They sound a bit like Reeses? My favourite is dark chocolate covered brazils, but I can never get them, just as well, they are always milk not dark. I have also discovered that they put a lot of Soya milk in chocolate now which tastes vile! I hate Soya Milk.

Wow, wolfie, our taste buds are very different. I love soy milk and am glad to hear it is in the chocolates more, as it contains phyto estrogens, which are helpful for menopausal women such as myself. I'll have to look more closely on my chocolate aisle for the brazil nut candies. They sound wonderful! Meanwhile, I'll stock up on some more Mounds.
