Thief action at Miami International Airport

Last night I saw a documentary about Miami International Airport and on it they showed thief action. This really shocked me since I imagined security would be great at any major airport in the USA. The criminal went to the baggage area and stole some passengers luggage. The staff found him doing that on a security television. Two British passengers were very upset their luggage had been stolen. They were sent $320 to compensate. Thank goodness the police caught that criminal. What do you think of that happening?

Surely he must know that there are cameras everywhere and that his actions would be monitored and recorded for evidence? Especially at such a hotspot like an airport where security is tight, he must have been very desperate or very stupid or both to attempt to steal luggage! And what would he find inside, just clothes? I hardly think people would keep money in luggage?

Oh the airport is still too busy having TSA agents doing touchy feeling on passengers and putting them through x-ray machines that they are not looking for the real criminals. I think they should look for the real criminals instead of thinking all the passengers are crooks. I hope they get those thieves. I would have been very upset.

Thieves will take advantage of any situation that they can. It's shameful, but it happens everywhere. I got pickpocketed in Prague, my ex got his camera stolen on a bus in Germany, our house was burglarized several times, and our garage, and his car. Where there is opportunity, somebody will take advantage of it.

I guess any time your bag is out of your site then its subject to whatever can happen to it. My wife's luggage was lost but it eventually made it to her, I don't know how you can lose luggage anyway. Each person comes there with a bag or two, how can they get lost? I know that giving your trust to an airline can be subject to their version and its a crap shoot to know if it will turn out allright.

Thats bad. I hear here in mexico city, many gangs work the airport doing the same things here. Maybe they all learn these things from those tv shows.
