Is it safe to eat raw eggs

Is there is any risk in eating raw eggs.There is common talk that medicinal value of raw egg is very high compared to boiled one.

I don't know about the raw eggs deal, but we were always warned by our doctor against salmonella. Boiled eggs is equally as nutritious as that if boiled properly, like not too raw and not overcooked.
