Trying to see the countries in Europe that I haven't yet seen

This year I will be able to visit the Ukraine and Moldova. I hope to be able to see the countries that used to be Yugoslavia like Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Macedonia. I already have visited in 2003 Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia. Albania is not a country I have been able to visit yet either. Other times I will have to fly out to places like Cyprus and Iceland. Then I get thinking of countries outside of Europe which are still quite near like Morocco and Egypt. The Cape Verde Islands are also easy to visit from the United Kingdom. I should try to get into the habit of booking air tickets for the school holidays much in advance like for half terms, Easter 2014 and October 2013. Which is the longest time you have booked ahead? Are there places inside your continent you are keen to see in 2013, 2014 or 2015? Do you think of visiting any further away places?

I would like to see Mount Rushmore and I would love to go to New York City. We booked the trip to Alaska over a month ahead, anyway my husband did it, so did not know how long ahead. But we had to get the passports a couple of months ahead, take the photos and everything.

They just increased the passport time in Canada, but I will have to get a new one. So now I have to save for the passport, plus arrange to pay my monthly bills while away. Of course even if it was just for a week or a month, it still will cost a lot to go there. Yes so where am I going to store the bargains?

I hope that you will visit New York city because that would be ever so exciting and there you might be able to buy some bargains. It would be lovely for you to see beautiful Mount Rushmore. Children's passports in my home country only last 5 years. My son is already on his second passport.

I'm still wanting to visit Europe, BTW, did you know that Europe is the only continent that does not start with an "A" and end with an "A". America (North and South), Australia, Antarctica, Asia, Africa. I would love to read about your adventures, have you ever thought of writing them down for all to see?

I do a Geography game naming countries in the different continents quite regularly. Yes, all the other continents begin with an "A" except Europe. I really should write down all my adventures so you could all read about them. Maybe one day I will write an e book.

With my depression and anxiety I find I can live for today and don't look at the future, it's far too scary for me to contemplate, what I do know is that I won't be going away on holiday this year, the last time I went away was in September 2012, so not that long ago, but it was only to Great Yarmouth for a week. I have absolutely no plans or any inclination to travel.

I see that you have some thought on visiting countries around you. I haven't been able to travel outside of my country yet. But I did have some small trip to other states in my country. I would normally booked ticket about 2 to 3 months ahead. Because that is the time that AirAsia airlines would make offer. If I am able to, I would first consider about traveling to Singapore which is pretty close to us, then perhaps Japan. After that, would gradually visit other places too one by one.

I like the sound of Air Asia. It is wonderful when it has a ticket sale and you can get cheaper than normal flights. It is great that you normally book 2 to 3 months ahead. I hope that you will visit Singapore one day because it is a really lovely city. Japan would be ever such an exciting place to visit in the future too.

wow... this is also my dream, to travel and see the key cities in europe. sad to say, aside from rome (where i live), i've only been to paris. travelling is expensive and nowadays with the economic crisis, it seems that my dream of seeing other european cities will remain just that.

It is lovely that you have visited beautiful Paris. Maybe when the economic crisis is over you will go off traveling happily around Europe. It is lovely that you live in Rome.
