I notice that more and more establishment are already having coffee vending machines in their doorstep, so I was wondering on how profitable can this vending machine be considering that a cup costs P5 only.

We do have that coffee vending machine! :) I didn't get it on a cash basis but on a profit sharing. That is 85percent to the coffee machine owner and 15percent for me. The machine owner will shoulder the coffee and cups ofcourse. That machine is only 12,000pesos and I think you will get the return of inc=vestment easily. Each kilo of coffee or chocolate cost about 200plus pesos and each cup cost .85cents. We had computed it. A kilo of coffee will have 500plus cups

Wow... if the coffee is in demand, you surely can get the return in no time. Where do you buy coffee?

what i'm concerned about are the cups that you use - plastic, styro or paper? how is it disposed? are they biodegradable?

Those are paper cups so no worries with regards to disposing them because they are biodegradable.

If everybody is putting up one then it must be profitable, however if they continue the trend then time would come that it would no longer be profitable since there would be too much in every block.

I am planning to set it up in our province where such vending machines are still very scarce. In that set up I think I can have more customers and also more profits :)

good luck to you kenshin, the problem would be if you are successful with what you plan a lot would copy you, Filipinos are known for doing that, that's why in our country, it's very common to see similar businesses all bunched together in the same area. The advantage you would have is if you are the first one to put it up

I think you can get a very reasonable return on investment for that. Since coffee is an all time favorite drink any time of the day, plus it is not seasonal. So yeah, demand for coffee, even coming from vendos will always be there.

Machine sellers are constantly repeating a 3-4 months return of investment so I guess it would really take time before seeing your profits.

The machine costs 18 thousand. I just learned the price this morning when I passed on a certain store that sell this kind of machine. If 200 people bought coffee, the owner will earn 1000 a day. I believe that this machine is profitable. People love to drink hot coffee, choco, or caramel specially in the morning. Also during office time.

I think it is not really profitable as you expected but surely the operator also earn for if not, then nobody will operate that business.

Looks like a good one since you will have to invest only with the machine and just leave it there until someone gets one. There is no labor cost since the machine will do it for you. I think you will just consider renting the space where you will place you machine. I can see in some offices they have this one installed and I guess the owner will just have to pick up the money collected at the end of the day and replenish the coffee everyday plus the cups of course. Very little capital and inventory needed for this venture.
