Do you like to go on railway station for meeting with relatives?

Recently I received a call of my cousin brother and his wife they were saying they are coming from Kanyakumari and they told me please come on railway station with hot tea at night time when this train will reach in your town.
I say off course I will came but if train will came late night then sorry I cant came. We both sweet husband and danger wife will go with tea for meets with my cousin brother. But I not like to wait the train so I say him please when came wardha call me so I will came from home.

Yes, that's the right way. They should inform us half an hour before train is going to land up to their nearest station. If anybody give me a call to receive me at station than I will definitely receive them even at midnight but the condition should be like yours.

Hehe...no chance for going at midnight I cant go for anyone even if they are my close relatives. But only few relatives are exceptional for this like hubby, mother, MIL etc.

My relatives usually prefer traveling during the night or early morning to avoid the traffic. So they either travel by plane or car. We just meet up with them at their hotel or our house or the nearest restaurant where they can freshen up and have something to eat after the long travel.

Hmmm means you are lucky because no chance for going there and spending time some time I feel wastage of time wait of the train then talk only for few minutes.

My local train station is within walking distance. It takes around fifteen minutes to walk there and the route is mostly along foot paths which are lovely. I would be happy to meet a relative or friend there in day light. My kids go to bed just before 7 pm so I wouldn't be able to go later than around 6.30 pm. I don't mind waiting around at a train station. I hope you have a lovely time seeing your cousin's brother and his wife.

Ohhh you spend some time on railway station but I not goes for spending the time only guest came then go or when I am going out of station then goes.

You did the right thing, it is not safe to go station at night, more over trains run late, as he is your brother and coming with his wife, you can convince your sweet but danger hubby to hire a taxi for them.
You know my place is on the main line, so i request my friends and relatives to break journey here and stay with us.

Hehehhe...I am laughing because you are also calling for my sweet partner same words sweet and danger hubby. Recently they gone and last night all relatives was in our home. They also take a break journey and both are new couple so they are happy when meet with us. My cousin brothers and their Mrs.

In my country, we like meeting relatives who are coming home from overseas at the airport. The whole family usually goes to meet the newly arrived member. It is the same thing in the departure.:)

Hhehe... if my relatives will came with Aeroplane then I will happy for meeting them but no chance of plane because we all are not rich persons. Nice whole family goes for see off or meeting.

In my hometown we only take bus or airplane dear sis.
In other places people take trains too.
I haven't meet a relative on bus station for a tea or for a chitchat.
but of course it's always great to meet relatives and have some talk.

Transportation by rail is not something that is really all that common where I live so this has not ever been something that I've had the opportunity to do with members of my family. However, I do know that there have been a lot of times that relatives have been flying through and they've had a layover in the airport near our house and when that does happen, we will arrange to meet with our relatives that are coming through and have a meal with them at the airport.

Well, not me. But some other person has come like the same way to meet us and to give us snack. 
He he.. We were going to some place and my uncle's relative city came in between and he came to meet us with delicious snack( special things from his city) for us. Well, I won't mind if some of my relative or friend ask me to do the same if they came to my city during their journey.. I will love to welcome them.

Hello Surekha,
It was always a pleasure to meet the relatives at the station with tea (or any other drink) and snacks. It would be wonderful to meet them even if it was for a short while. I don't remember waiting too long for the train because by the time the train would arrive I would chat with my mom. I also liked when our relatives would come to meet us at the station with home made snacks and our favorite drinks.

Both yes and no.Yes,because I love my relatives and love to meet them,giving them something prepared at our home to eat and have a brief chat with them until the train departs.And no,because,trains in our country are generally too late and I have a hard time waiting them to arrive at the station.I feel immensely bored on such occasions.Back home my works are waiting for me and here I am wandering here and there uselessly on the platform.That's really extremely painful.
