Maybe you should ask for what food to avoid. There are 2 types of diabetes. Type 1 is when your body does not produce insulin. Type 2 is when your cells do not respond the right way towards insulin. Type 2 diabetes is caused by situations, such as overweight and lack of exercise. This is the one we have to avoid. Maintain a healthy body weight, cut down sugar and refined wheat flour products intake, exercise to be fit.

Maybe you'll find some good lists if you search myLot (text-bar in the head of this page) for "defeat diabetes."

My mom has diabetes and what she avoid is carbohydrates. She doesnt eat much rice, bread and sweet goods. Food having fibers are good for diabetic like oats, pineapple, wheat bread and green salads. She also takes metformin as her maintainance. Proper exercise is also good to burn the carbs
