hi to all well, First of all don't be panic, I don't needs personally any charity or aid by you, but its my country problem, In Our Pakistan, almost all kinds of minerals, coal, gold, uranium, natural gases, agriculture & natural resources exists, but our corrupt politicians don't makes a use of it, they only have mind to go US & Some Friends of Pakistan & Beg them for aid & charity to run the country, 99% goverment officers have fake degree & they have no knowledge at all but to accept their salary by doing nothing, so as a nation we have a symbol of beggars instead of traders or helpers, I feels personally very bad about it, but I just a quick question for you??? If you gives me charity or aid??? you cannot respect me??? enlightened the igniting issues, have a nice day...

Many Americans resent the foreign aid that we give to countries that hate us. For instance, since we're talking about your country, Pakistan arrested and imprisoned the man who helped our military find Osama Bin Laden and still haven't released him despite our requests and negotiations. They did not want us to find that man and stop attacks on our country so I don't know why we give the government aid. That aid does not go to the people but to build up the coffers of corruption. There is speculation that Pakistan would turn on the US at the first opportunity. And this is the case for nearly every country we give aid to so I'm not singling out yours. However, I do respect you as a person. I do not respect your government as a whole but if an individual showed himself worthy of my respect he or she would have it.

I agree it fees like we give aid to countries to keep us out of wars with some of them. I'm sure there are many countries that would turn on the US if we stopped sending aid and imposed trade embargos

You can change the outlook of your nation,by making aware of the strength of your nation to your fellow country men.

It's not the need for help that causes anyone not to respect you. It's that you know what the problem is and don't do anything to change it.

Aid or charity is given out of love and concern so respect should be there too. I understand how you feel as an ordinary citizen however corruption is almost everywhere even in countries that the third world look up too. Like you, every citizen with a heart and compassion for his country are praying and hoping that these callous politicians would somehow mellow and realize that their duty is to serve and not to suck the blood of the people.

After reading this I think of a little story, once there is a man when he was 30,who wants to change the world, when he was 40 he wants to change the city when he was 50 he wants to change his family, when he was 60 he just want to change himself, because during this 30 years he found it hard to change the world, the city, even the family, what he can change is himself.however when he changes himself gradually he influenced his family the the city finally the world. So don't be frustrated, change what you can change and accept what you must accept.

No, it shouldn't be that way, respect is always there, asking for charity or aid should not be looked as a negative thing, we are humans the feeling of asking for help and helping is natural, obviously you will not ask help if you don't it. The more important thing is you help and the true meaning of the word help.

As an individual I see no reason to not respect you. However as you said you know what is going on in your country as far as not being self sufficient and relying on aid from other nations. Nations like my country that toss out money like it's change when we ignore the strife of our own citizens. Politics seem to be in a sad state of affairs everywhere if only there were more ways everyday people could make a difference other than on a local basis.

I am sorry that your country had that problem. I think that your country is not the only one that has those kind of issues: all developing countries have the same problem. Although I personally think that we must all respect each other, it is also true that we must study so that we cangive a good use to our natural resources. Do you elect your government or is it imposed? Take care!

I think respect is not lost. Progressive countries are giving aids to such countries with the intention of helping the said countries to develop and be progressive. As you have said, your country is rich with resources needed to become prosperous but the sad thing is corruption is rampant especially in the government. I guess most third world countries have the same situations where only the rich and the famous enjoys this kind of situation. I guess, if there are more people like you who will think of ways to make use of these resources and as bold as you who will stand up and express these beliefs, such countries will prosper.
