You remember that 'to follow G*d's prescription to heal his followers of a disease' was "as Moses lifted up the serpent." Jesus of Joseph was lifted up by the Jews (sorta the first act of "democracy") 'to get rid of free-thinkers like Him who might undermine the leaders' hold on the people's will.' How did the second ever get mistaken for the first?
