unable to have quality sleep :(

Hi friends. I am not getting enough sleep in the night from few months. I go to bed at 11, but I won't get into sleep easily. I was thinking of trying sleeping pills, but my mom said its harmful. But I can't help it out.. Sometimes it happen that I would get sleep the entire night. I don't sleep in morning time also.. plz help. god bless.

Hello sana, Sometimes if we don't do enough physical work we don't get sleep well at night. Moreover if you sleep in day then stop doing it may be if you stop it you will get good sleep at night. Before going to bed at night wash your hands,feet and face with water and massage your bottom surface of your feet with an oil for few minutes then sleep you will surely find a difference.

ohh yes i agree if we dont have enough physical work then we may not get sleep. so physical work is necessary for us to be healthy.

If you are taking at least 4 hour of sleep than there is no need to take any medicines but if you are taking less than 4 hours of sleep plus this has continued for over one week or two week than this is a time to consult a doctor for advise of any medicine to induce sleep.

How about drinking some milk. If you can't really sleep, at least rest and lay down in your bed.

but i just hate milk... and yes, i take rest, and close my eyes. but still i didn't get into sleep...

If your lack of sleep has been so severe that it starts to affect your health and how you function on a daily basis, I think it will be better to go and see a specialist. They can diagnose if it's just a mild case of insomnia or something that is brought by something else entirely. At any rate, they can prescribe you some pills that you can take like melatonin pills which are natural sleep inducers. But still, it would be best to obtain a professional's opinion.

I have the same problem. I am always tired, but when I am going to bed, I can´t sleep. Usually I listen to the music until I fell asleep. Or I play games on my phone until I can´t keep my eyes open. That helps me little bit. Then in the morning I can´t wake up. My alarm clock has to ring at least 3 times before I get out of bed. And if I can sleep till noon, I wake up early in the morning. I don´t know what to do to get some quality sleep either.

One of the best suggestions that I've ever heard if you are having a hard time falling asleep at night is to make sure and not drink anything with caffeine in it after the middle part of the afternoon. If you do find that you are experiencing a lot of stress in your life and you are not able to sleep because of that, it might be that you might need some kind of medication to help you sleep. However, I would not resort to medication unless you can't think of any other alternative.

Whenever I feel such and cant sleep at night time then I take the name of God read the chalisa because I remember the chalisa. You not try to sleeping pills because not good for body. Reading books is a good way to sleep well try it. If you are Indian or trust on God you can say again and again Om Sai Ram, Om Sai Ram then God will help you for sleeping this is my experience.

Hi How is your problem now? Most of the time its not good to depend on medicines for sleeping problems. It better to deal naturally. Try reading abook or listen to music. Or else do some exercise if you get tired the you may get sleep. some people feel sleepy after getting tired.
