I first got into crafting because I wanted to be able to make things. The feeling of actually making something on my own was amazing!

I started, not really crafting, but knitting at about 10 years old. And I haven't stop to this day. I will always remember my first knitted pair of mitts. I was young and did not really know about tension, needles sizes etc. Well my mother had this extra wool and I had one pair of (if I remember well, size 12 needles). So I picked up the pattern book and just started knitting. It turned out that I knitted my first pair of mitt for my doll. They were so small that they fitted her to a tee. But today I not only knit, but crochet (mostly filet crochet), cross-stitch and tat. The latest I absolutely love to do. Unfortunately there are not a lot of patterns out there for that old craft. I would absolutely love to learn how to do lace work. Not the type with bobbins but the type called needle lace. There are, again, not too many patterns or even pattern books for that type of craft, but I am not giving up. Anyway, good by for now. Talk to you soon, I hope.

Oh! That is true. I have tried lace work before and it is very hard! When I first tried it, I had to be really careful so as not to harm the lace. Thanks for your wonderful answer! Hope to talk to you soon too!

My mother was a crafter! So I started young. By learning how to crochet and sew and that was just the start. Over the years I have learned to do many crafts! I do papercrafts....paint....and other projects. I love crafting!

I enjoy creating new unique items out of everyday items. I started by making cards and gradually started trying out new crafts like bath items, bookmarks, and cake toppers. Crafting is definitely a fun and rewarding way to spend your time.
