Why Don't People Use the Second 'O' in "Too"?

I mean, I understand it when 'English as a "second" language'-people do it--developing your English as sort of a "creole" (a language you develop an understanding of more by hearing than -by 'study of grammar)-- but my niece/cousin-once-removed Alyssa? https://www.facebook.com/alyssa.k.holmes/posts/4073031164531 ... wait a minute ... Duh! it's a 'mobile' post; meaning that she probably either 'quickly tapped' or 'spoke' "too hot to go outside" into the device and was TOO LAZY to either type in 'O' twice or go back & fill-out 'too' with the second 'O.' 'To' & 'Too' (& 'Two,' for that matter) are ALL THE SAME to Our Conquering Lords-&-Masters the Machines, and Alyssa's 'leaving the "to" unaltered' is her way of pledging her servitude unto the machines. The Machines appear to have teamed-up with "the dying of the light," against both of which I will continue to RAGE, RAGE! But I have a feeling I will need your help. How can you help? Start by simply CHECKING YOUR SPELLING!

A lot of people especially other than from the US don't realize that to and too have different meanings. To is like if your writing "go to the store" the other too is like "it costs too much". I hope I made some sense here but I'm an English nut and hate when people don't use it or spell things right. I think you earn more by studying grammar and that will explain it all. It's like whether and weather. They sound the same but mean two different things. I could go on and on but I won't. I hope this helps.

Or like "your" & "you're." Or like (one of the favorites of Josh Radnor's Ted from how i met your mother) "literally" & "figuratively"---well, not 'literally' like '"literally" & "figuratively",' but ... nerdy-nerdy-nerdy!

english isnt my first language either, but i think it might have been the autocorrect which was doing the work for her. autocorrect doesnt care about grammar or spelling most of the time, it just changes the word into something you usually use or sometimes its just crazy putting in words when it feels like it. in my case, i usually forget the second "o" in "too" when i am too enthusiastic about what i am going to say. in the end, what matters most is the message you are trying to convey and if it comes accross properly to the people you are communicating with. :)

I don't think people really feel any commitment to use proper grammar on Mylot. I don't really expect it as long as I understand what they are talking about. Many people from other countries post here so their English will be poor in many instances. I am thankful for spell check. That is what is irritating when the computer will tell my husband that he has spelled something wrong and he doesn't try to change it. This was one thing his boss got after him for all the time. I do hate to proof read but might save me from having to repost to correct a mistake that changed the meaning of a sentence.
