I believe right now that you can be blessed but still make yourself miserable and you can be miserable but make your life a blessing. I knew someone who has the looks and money and fame yet he committed suicide because he get himself into serious trouble with gambling. I knew people who are ordinary people and has little possessions yet they manage to live and minister to others. So, it's how we live our life no matter what our status are in life that matters.

Some ordinary people would be a lot happier than the rich people because they have less worries. And all that matters to them is in keeping their families safe and being able to support them in their little way.

Hi averygirl, You are very wise and are helping others by posting such discussions here. We must all do our best. We do create our own future and it is by our attitude. I am going to say something that many people will find hard to believe, but I feel that it's difficult for a rich person to be happy! I am not rich so I am not speaking from experience, however I am speaking from observation, just as you are. Let me quickly add however, that a rich person can be happy if he/she also had the right attitude and is not captivated by greed. Blessings.

I do feel miserable at times and I wonder what really makes a person miserable. Some people seem to have all things in the world but why do they feel so bad and kill themselves. I'm not at that point but I just look around.

That is so true! You can either be happy with what you have or be miserable and never know the true meaning of happiness.

I can be happy and content living in a hut or miserable and lost living in a mansion.

This is so true! Its not all the money or possessions that will make you happy. Its how you live your life. Helping people being there when needed. Looks, money fame does not mean a thing if you don't use it to help others. I learn young that material things are not at all important in life. Its being a good person deep within your soul, helping people in need and giving of yourself to others in times of distress and sorrow.

Hi, Some people are put in situations where they are forced to do the things they do out of necessity and less out of choice. Making free choices can make the difference between a life in happiness and misery. That rich but gambling man made a choice along the way and he ended in less favorable conditions, while those who are struggling to make ends meet are put into situation in helping others in order to improve their own lot in life. It is really a matter of choice with every opportunities that arise as we go along, the consequences may be hard to foresee but can be predicted with enough foresight and common sense.

Sometimes it falls down to making free choices. If we choose to feel miserable, we will and if we refuse to feel miserable we won't.

Lot of rich people are problematic than ordinary person. Money cant buy happiness. It just all about contentment. If we are contented with what we have then we can live happily and peacefully.

They are problematic too because they are trapped in their splurging and overspending.

True enough. I believe what we think and say is what we attract, ten fold. I can not see living a miserable life yet being blessed. The laws of the universe simply don't work like that but at the same time, I know some people who are absolutely successful yet are miserable as well. True is they can be found not to be successful in all areas of life because for one they are obviously not happy if they're always miserable. How we think and feel is paramount. What we truly feel in our hearts is what makes us who we are and life will reflect that.

Hi there Averygirl72! You are right. It is a case to case basis since there is no perfect life. Problems will always come and what we need to know is how to surpass these trials. We should have the correct view about these trials, what it would take to get over these trials and live up to the occasion. It would be best if we can get inspiration from God, from our loved ones, that will give us strength to fight and move on with life. We need to learn how to count our blessings when we feel like there's no reason for us to go on with our lives. We should know that we need to make the most out of this life that is just borrowed and can be taken away from us anytime.

We should have the correct view of the trials and blessings. I want to really give up at times but sometimes having lots of money is not the case to be happy and enjoy life.

You are so right. Our lives depend on how we choose to live it. It is all in our hands. It is all up to us, money or no money, looks or no looks. How do you turn whatever you have now to your advantage?

See that's great when we just turn anything we have to our own advantage. You can have the looks and money but if it brings disadvantage to your life, it's useless.

Life is what we make it. Yes, there are some people who would result to ending their precious lives because of wrong decisions. I always encounter questions with regards to making choices, which one should I choose or similar questions. What I would always tell them? You know, I can see the perfect rule whenever I go to and from the office. It is a simple traffic rule but can be applicable in our lives. "Keep Right." Have a great day!
