Doesn't It Seem Like Christians Are Praising a Burned-Out Light-Bulb?

I suppose that's why Catholics are often-accused of "worshiping Saints"---because Saints are simply followers who--enlightened by Jesus--have 'let their light so-shine for all the world to see.' Thus they serve as 'replacement-bulbs'---working in the same way as the first bulb, yes; but the Light is UNAVAILABLE without them (Sure, somebody else would inevitably fill-in for them (in the pattern of Jesus); but ... that's not what happened, is it?) That last part reminds me of my current 'predicament' (single & alone). Many of the girls I know could date me, -court me & -marry me IF THEY ASKED (or got me into a position where asking would be the right thing for me to do ... and held me there until it dawned on me ); but most girls are equally-good for ANYBODY to marry, and most boys are way-more ready-for-them than I am ... and the 'girls worship the fresh light-bulb' above 'the light-bulb they have to find & -light-up by themselves' The dating-world runs on a different metaphor than the 'Heaven-centered' world - where the dating-world (Buddhism would equate it with their bottom-five worlds---Hell-through-Human) often runs on a variation of Jungle-law--something like 'team-up with whoever's in the lead now'--Heaven is probably closer to 'The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.' (Although yes, the un-lit light-bulbs DO need something BEFORE they can serve the needs of the many by lighting-up; but that would require 'giving fertilizer to the possibly-fruitless vine'---something you can only do if you are "prodigal" (look it up on the site after the ad at the link))
