Will it make any difference even if you write on 'Bricks' or on walls or an sand or on wood. Instead you should convey to the very person whom you are 'missing'. If s/he understands your feelings for him/her, s/he would immediately connect with you. All the best.

I don't wish harm on any of 'the one that got away'-s, but I know how you feel ... like you plugged yourself in to a life-support system that the both of you were powering, but then the other unplugged & went away---leaving you there to work TWICE AS HARD to serve 'half as many people' (no one but yourself)
