Do I just start blogging and being a Beauty guru or what? I'd like to know how to make friends. Also is everything meshed together? Are there not any category because I don't see them?

There are no 'categories' as such. The tags are used to categorise your posts and to make them more searchable. You will find a lot of useful information on how to start using MyLot here:
