Wouldn't an Insect Be a Better God-Image?

It's said that only cockroaches would survive a nuclear holocaust. Thinking about that, I wonder whether God (who has such an indestructible presence) is not also a cockroach (or insect of some kind). Interestingly, the Egyptians (from whose mythology the Genesis-story was adapted) had the god Khepri a scarab beetle who was "specifically connected to the mythical creation of the world" with his brother Ra. How would this change your picture of the world?
